Market drop, FSM promo, time to do top up?

My planning to top up are as below.

RM1000 into TA Global Techniology
Rm2500 into UNITED japan Discovery FUnd
Rm1000 into ponzi 2
Rm1500 into Dinasti.

Any comments from all pro here?

do take into consideration of your planned % of allocation before and after topping up ........
example.....will a certain country/sector be over the % of you likings and preference?

if you are comfortable with it...... thumbup.gif

sometimes, some people came here to says......
buy cheaper and hold long term,
buy when there is a discount.....

currently there are some funds having discount of about 10% since their last peak.....will they buy those now?
or they will just say again.....the discount is still not cheap enough.... tongue.gif

hmm.gif I guess there is no right of wrong for their circumstances/needs/thinking/emotional appetite may change like the markets indexes too

IDS drops 11.3% froms its last peak. But, seems nobody here want to buy or top up, while quite many are selling or thimking to sell it.

I think you should ask yourself: hmm.gif

1. Are this only your holding funds drop or general market trend?
2. Do you think your holding funds still have potential?
3. Are there any better fund out there that is better than your current?

Mr T231H can add more.... whistling.gif

First, I don't think there are any "pros" here... as in hired guns giving free consultations, aside from the imbedded staff who gave the advisory links to the articles found in the FSM website.

If you don't trust the bank's relationship manager on financial matters, why do you trust people who came here to relax, unwind and 'blow breeze'? We might have been longer UT investors than you, and have some experience and stories to share... but do we have more knowledge about the markets than you do? Maybe we do, maybe not... but who would you trust when there are different opinions.

So what is your outlook on the markets in the next several months and next year 2018? If you are bullish and impatient to get a piece of the action before it takes off again, then top-up more frequently than you initialy planned whenever the funds dipped 1% or more.

If you are unsure... maybe re-read the post I written last week, as appended below. Maybe it could give you some ideas on what to do.

how about you? are you thinking about buying IDS?
i noticed you don't have a malaysia-focused fund in your portfolio.
is the market PE on the high side based on your opinion?

i have KGF. i'm still thinking if i should add IDS or not...
any thoughts?

Should I switch funds now? Withdraw ? eUT is having a 0% promo for switching over 5k
Which funds to switch to?
I think APAX/China will continue to suffer losses. Hang Seng dropped a lot today
