No idea if it's genuine or scam. I'd be looking at a warranty angle. How difficult would it be should I need to RMA it.

Not going to risk it and I heard asus is terrible with rma so I just get from local shopee and went for msi b650 gaming plus wifi.

Hi all. Wondering at ambient temp of 30c (usual in malaysia), what temp did you get for 5900x typically?

Mine's 50c ish, kraken 280mm idle (utilization below 5c), undervolted.

Im wondering if there's some issue with the thermal paste.

Tune the power settings in windows. I remember posting it here on my 5900X days. Going below 40C is possible. Use this at your own risk. Not official settings.

While Asrock shares the most failures it isnt just an Asrock problem.

So owners of other mobo brands should check if they have those settings too.

I'm using the NZXT Kraken Elite 360 V2 with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D. My idle temps used to be around 60°C, which felt kinda high. Just wanted to share a quick tip that helped me drop them significantly:

I installed the Thermalright AM5 secure frame and swapped to a better thermal paste. I'm using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme. Now my idle temps are sitting around 45°C. Huge difference.

CoreTemp very very old dy, no support for hybrid CPUS like LGA1700 gens so it likely has security holes.

AMD has a very good command center for monitoring, why not use that?

Personally I use LibreHardwareMonitor as it allows to put a widget on desktop for me to monitor in real time (at the right side)
