Strix-E pricing is kinda ruined in Malaysia though.

Z490-E is priced to go against Aorus Ultra in US, but in Malaysia it's just a bit short of Aorus Master pricing.
B550-E is priced to go against B550 Aorus Master in US, but here's it's price closely matches the X570 Aorus Master instead.

As for B550-I, it doesn't look anything special compared to the X570-I variant - I would have bought it without thinking if it just copied the X570-I's feature set and added a USB-C front port header.

strix b550 itx, da only mobo on asus afaik everybody 3900/3950x boosted as per advertised.

Asus BIOS ain't that well laid out too anyways, at least as far as their ROG boards are concerned. Sub menus after sub menus.

Things you change in the "Tweaker" menu does not get applied unless you also change them in the AMD PBS menus. Lol.

not sure amd but asus on intel is pretty well laid out

intel has mrc algo for training. asus provides them all.

giga what owikh84 loves is, the counter. it shows the values being applied.. odt etc etc.

i can tell you this giga, msi favours ram high frequency with loss in performance. aslong can train
asus favours PERFORMANCE, instead of booting everything.
till date when you get it right in asus.. all ram bandwidth/latency .. it beats giga/msi.

they fae tunes asus board on performance.

Bonchi
giga master the best oc board in terms of value normally
dual bios , etc etc

now they are trying to compete with APEX with tachyon,
seems like just like that.. they like fark the SOC naming and start some new naming shit. lol

agreed. All the while gigabyte makes very solid board at the value they sell at. Heck look at B550 itx line up, gigabyte have the most overkill vrm and even a full backplate despite being the cheapest of the trio.

As a budget choice, gigabyte is always there and in terms of performance it’s also up there, depending on the person that tweaks it. Nobody does LN2 daily... so alot of OC claim is rather pointless actually... and most OC nowadays depends on the CPU sample more, especially AMD.

Zen 4 to have 29% IPC increase over Zen 3? Lofty claims AMD, very lofty.

Don't wanna "beta" test their BIOS though. Record breaking BIOS updates for my X570.

Can only hope they learnt their lesson. But the fact that Lisa Su is 100% adamant in 1 major release every fiscal year means that they won't even have time to take a shit.

Can't see them having any "major" releases this year other than new APUs and Threadripper though.

They can always launch Zen 4 on Dec 31st. But availability = kosong.

Proven formula with Zen 3 and RDNA 2 see.

Zen arch releases are on a 5 quarter schedule so far so I doubt we'd see any this year too. Not to mention Apple has already gobbled up all of TSMC's 5nm allocation this year IIRC.

Lol. Shops buying overseas to sell at scalper price isn't new. As long as shop honours the warranty i think it will be okay

But wrong decision to go for 5800x when u can get 10900K for less and better performance.

And stability
And less heat no joke

Willing buyer willing seller, no choice biggrin.gif
I also personally bought a 3600 few months ago cause of crazy prices on Zen 3, waiting for non-X Zen 3 to come out before upgrading/sidegrading.
Or maybe the announced 5800 and 5900 non-X for OEM builds will eventually become available whistling.gif

StarNews Article

Damn. 2021 will be the most expensive year for electronics. Personally I don't think they will be able to meet demand till Q1 2022.

Isn't Qualcomm also on Samsung 5nm this year?

And their power efficiency is pretty weak vs last years flagships, shows why TSMC is in high demand in spite of supply issues.

Does the Strix X570 ITX also have problems that the B550 one doesn't?
