Guys, in your opinion, do you think the 5600x is worth the >RM500 difference to the 3600?

I mean this from a new purchase standpoint, not an upgrade standpoint as I'm getting a completely new build. Was just about to pull the trigger for the 5600x, but can't quite stomach the price difference lol

Also, MSI B550 Gaming Edge w/ Wifi or Asus TUF B550 Plus Wifi? Only perceivable difference is the ASUS board has 2x Gen 2 aRGB headers, while the RM100 more expensive MSI board has only 1 lol, and of course VRM but I doubt I'll be doing crazy overclocks with either of the Ryzen 5 CPUs anyway.

Are u sure the MSI board has only 2 argb headers? I just bought one last week and mine has 2, one used for cpu waterblock argb lighting and another used for Phanteks neon rgb strips.

Sorry, actually has 2x3pin and 2x4pin rgb headers, was super blur yesterday and misread some information on their website lol
I think only difference is it has Bluetooth5.0 enabled and maybe slightly better VRM cooling compared to the ASUS board.

Your username tho.  biggrin.gif

What is the current price for 3600?, I take a glance at shoppe, the cheapest is RM935. At that price ill definitely going with 5600x if can get it at MSRP (RM1349). Moving forward it just better, especially for new build. If you can find new 3600 below RM800 from local seller, ill probably change my mind.

Simply came up with a username to discuss my pc build hahah

Found one selling at RM869 basically MSRP. I'm leaning towards buying the 3600 first, then if the 5600 (non-x) releases at good price, I'll just upgrade and sell the 3600 at slight loss early next year.
Good idea or should I still get the 5600x (@RM1399)? Also pairing it with RTX3070 and gaming @1440p 144Hz

Willing buyer willing seller, no choice biggrin.gif
I also personally bought a 3600 few months ago cause of crazy prices on Zen 3, waiting for non-X Zen 3 to come out before upgrading/sidegrading.
Or maybe the announced 5800 and 5900 non-X for OEM builds will eventually become available whistling.gif
