Check mobo lates memory QVL at official site to confirm, cause every mobo bios will result different of support memory. Same 3000mhz memory would come in different result.

B350 mobo is ok for daily OC usage, if need 24/7, better go to X370.
For B350 chipset, MSI/ASUS/ASROCK > Gigabyte under VRM quality.

The mobo listed up to 3200 ram but subject to CPU. I think I read somewhere that 1500X may have issues with more than 3000 ram?

I list the mobo since it's the cheapest I can find. smile.gif

No la, B350 also can. biggrin.gif

You OC or not, it's just running at high clocks, not like running full load 24/7.

Even running at full load 24/7 is not an issue.

Key difference between B350 and X370 board would be stuff like CFX / SLI support, some X370 may put high quality components but that doesn't mean you need X370.

The more expensive u pay, the bigger chance of better oc silicon lottery u will get. I just read some info, seems many ppl who get 1400 even cant oc more than 3.7ghz.
I think u may consider better cpu if u cant afford more a bit price, otherwise please take risk of maybe cant OC higher, somemore 1500X get you larger L3 cache.

Why not consider Asrock mobo, its quality not bad, and also good bios update?

You may try stock fan for OC 1st, cause u wont know how much u can OC till. Maybe decide to get a new bracket after that?
*
Any Asrock mobo within the budget range of 450? I don't mind any brands as long as I can perform the functions with ease

Also I'm looking for bracket because I already have a Hyper 212X in my PC so I want to transfer over instead of using stock cooler

AB350 Pro4 is the lowest we have. SRP is RM 469 which is slightly above RM 450. biggrin.gif Can stretch a bit laaaaaa.

Its can support 3200mhz ram, but not every 3200Mhz ram can run in full speed, depends on the mobo and bios update.

Example, asrock taichi can support only gskill ram to 3200 currently, but if u use corsair 3200, ur speed may not get at the performance its should be.

And as you stated, ryzen 5 and 7 had different on memory compatibility.

Better survey more for choose right ram for right mobo =w= Anyway, u still have time cause ryzen will get better and better its memory compatibility.

But due to rumor, DDR4 should get more expensive as time ongoing, cause most of DDR4 produced by samsung etc, but seems they get failed a lot stock before, plus current smartphone commonly using ddr4, tats why these year's dd4 increase like hell.

Yup, u can go with B350 as well, cause ryzen not hungry power cpu XD

Just X370 commonly got better VRM, better for full load 24/7, similar as the quality of PSU effect those lifespan and stability.

Anyway, there's only few ppl need full load 24/7 or someone who OSD needed.

http://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/luke...t-cpu-review/9/

As suspected, AMD still perform poorly compared to Intel in Total War. However, considering that R5 1500X have 8 threads compared to either i5-7400 or i5-7500 it's still a good choice. Just hope that AMD CPU will follow AMD GPU driver/updates wise. smile.gif
