Just let them learn to drink and eat naturally.
Also, the cage thing... this is why we never breed hamsters in cages, either in tanks or storage boxes. You are lucky it survived. Normally can snap the neck and die.

won't get stomach ache punya la, once a week only, small slice somemore... those nuts are not the ready-to-eat one, unprocessed one... processed one got salt... not good... yup, i give them gardenia bread, juz cut to small pieces and give them like that, no need to do anything to the bread...
Bread, cannot give fresh bread, too soft.... the soft bread can become sticky with saliva and when a hamster keeps it in the pouch, it will become sticky with its saliva and it will have a hard time pushing out the bread. If it gets stuck inside the pouch, it can cause bacteria to grow, eating into the insides of the pouch and causing infection..... Normally we make the bread hard by airing it out to become hard or toast the bread till crispy to be safe.
Also, never give bread often since it contains yeast, which can cause problems in the gut and digestive system.
