Imagine what kind of graphic we will get if developer spend same dedication on PC games, yes it's much complicated because need to cater different manufacturer's hardware and all. Now trend also on longer lasting games like MOBA; damn even ages old WOW still generating tons of money.

i dont know really, we def could progress further in terms of photorealism
but currently most resources used by GPU are spent on open world environment
sides, wouldnt it be nice that we have games that still look good, but doesnt cost a bomb yet to run it at >120Hz + High settings?
perhaps we need another Crysis of 2007 to happen soon to kickstart more graphics oomph
1. Your system is plenty fast 2. At 1080p your card is not performing at potential 3. At 1440p your card is not performing at potential 4. At 2160p heck your score even better than mine by a little bit so what factor it is left I don't know but it's negligible.
The key point you need to know is that Stormblood is not demanding on the CPU and is not a good representation of games in general. At Full HD I saw that the CPU load on average was less than 50% on all cores, at 4K UHD the average is under 20% and more often than not the cores show single digit load.
Still. Being MMORPG. It will demand CPU when a lot of players and NPCs are around. As I recalled, Ryzen has better minimum FPS than i7.
I'm not a software engineer, but I think in the future they'll be tools and SDK with tons of high quality assets to quickly make a good looking game. Something like what unreal engine is doing now.
Imagine if Battlefield 3/4/1 engine becomes open source, what normal people could with it.
I think zotac just announced a water cooled 1080ti as well. Which one cost more?
DIY with the ek block or pre installed zotac unit?
The ArcticStorm sadly cost lesser than mine. I already made my purchase since end of last month and waited for the EK stuff to come. Then suddenly Zotac announced that the AS version is releasing end of this month.
Anyway its ok since the EK FC terminal is protuding out (preffered) instead of under the block like the AS version.
Wow... I really hope Vega beat or at least same performance with the current Nvidia products. Only with this we as consumers will get better pricing/performance on their future products. For too long we been milked by Nvidia. Competition is damn long overdue.
Best Vega would probably slightly beat 1080 Ti in Doom (Vulcan API), on par in DX12 titles (slightly losing) and lose significantly in DX11 titles. Anyway, every information is simply base on prediction currently, and most probably Vega will fit like this : RX 580 < Vega Pro < GTX 1070 < Vega XT < GTX 1080 < Vega Dual = GTX 1080Ti
