1080p 60hz 6ms monitor.
fps 125 +-

some time game stutter.... any opinion why?
60hz 6ms monitor cannot catch up?  hmm.gif
*
do you have any monitoring software? take note on the time it stutter, and monitor its core/boost clocks

did they dip during that scene?

care to suggest what software?

when using msi afterburner..
the gpu usage sometime/always stay at over 90%... but temp not more 70%...
is this normal?
hmm.gif
*
Msi afterburner is fine, just open the monitorig graph and keep track of the gpu clocks

But ill say normally this is the case of avg vs max fps. Max fps usually inconsistent as it fluctuates wildly on diff scenes

just curious, u guys really like 34" ultrawide monitor meh?

I tried it few times, find that the view very narrow. I preferred 32" 16:9.

(Anyway I'm soooooo buying 1080 ti)
*
theyre not on the 1080p ultrawide, its 1440p IINM

so its quite an upgrade from standard 1080p

I'm curious though, anyone actually try or owned both xb271HU and x34a. Wondering which actually gives more satisfying gaming experience 165hz or 34" 100hz ultrawide, if money is not issue and you have a juicy rig.
*
ive never owned a >60Hz monitor before, but ive been to exhibitions showing them off. its one hell of an experience, similar like seeing Freesync/GSync in action

if money is no issue, everything is up for grabs depending on what you like. personally, for immersion, i would prefer an UW than higher refresh rates. its just much better for me. but for some, >100Hz is a must since they preferred it much more

Can someone please tell me what is a 18+2 phase please

basically stability in power delivery, since they are so loaded with power phases, not to mention they gave it 2x8pin

trying to make sure that if people decide to OC it hard, it wont struggle in using the juice given

Just wait Project Scorpio to materialize for 4K gameplay la. Wont be as expensive as PC 4K only that no more #pcmasterrace
*
definitely bait.. but ill bite

why bother with scorpio, that has no benchies on how it performs, yet judging from a single screenshot of it running in "4K" when we already have PC hardware that is more than capable enough since couple of years back?

oh wait, you thought 4K PC gaming is only limited to running at 4K144FPS Ultra settings? guess again dude, theres a reason we chose to game on PC instead of consoles.

not really la bro. not turning this into PC vs console things. Scorpio isn't even out yet but they dare to promise 4k gaming on it and well, now waiting for how much will it cost. If it's competitively priced, there you have it; a machine capable of 4k gaming if 4K is really that important of a factor in gaming for you. I'm merely saying that for a satisfying 4K gaming experience, even on PC, it'd cost substantial amount of money as of now.
*
no worries no fanboyism here, consoles def have a place in the gaming market. but thats it isnt it? people are hyping it up, yet no means of how it perform has yet been shown. i daresay itll be like the PS4 Pro, pretty powerful and affordable choice for masses yet nothing outstanding (maybe to us PC gamers)

going back on the final sentence, it really depends on how would you say is a satisfying 4K gaming experience. each person has different value on how would be "satisfying". some will die2 want 4x MSAA Ultra even on 4K, those guys will never touch a console even with a 10 foot stick

in short, until the scorpio is out tho, judgement on it remains lukewarm. even if its a fantastic piece of engineering from MS from specs sheet

Agreed on the variations of people defining what's satisfying for them. But if you ask me, if it's 4K, though non-native, like what they did to Horizon Dawn on PS4 Pro is definitely impressive IMO. That level of optimizations for such a measly hardware is impressive nonetheless. Therefore I can imagine how much powerful the Scorpio would be if the devs back it up with good games. Anyway this is a really off-topic thing here so I'll make it as brief as possible. I've read an article before regarding on how Microsoft is trying to close the gap between console and PC gaming by giving the Scorpio a Win10 as its primary OS. Not sure how true it'd  turn out to be since everything is still speculation but I'd welcome it with an open heart if it would result in better optimizations for PC gaming in general. Or maybe I watched too much of Digital Foundry Scorpio analysis video.  biggrin.gif
*
i do watch those too, but you have to remember, its purely speculations at this point so far so a pinch of salt have to be taken icon_idea.gif

MS indeed is trying to "unify" the Xbox and PC gaming scene together, with introduction of Win10 and even Windows Store Play Anywhere. i only hope that MS is genuine at this point, instead of their half-assed attempt last time

Is it? The best looking games are currently multi-platform games such as The Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Battlefield 1, Ghost Recon : Wildlands. PC only game that is usually bundled up with the other multi-platform games are Crisis 3, Ashes of the Singularity.
*
it is a fact, but i wouldnt say held back like he did. consoles graphical settings are generally tweaked to perform well on their hardware, its no surprise at all

all PC games esp multiplats have and always looked better than console counterpart.

examples of games that really utilise dev's capability to look darn good althou limited by hardware are ofc Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn. you can really see the limitations and workarounds the devs have to compromise to achieve that level of graphics on 2013 hardware. but nonetheless, massive kudos to the devs that managed it very well
