With my 980ti still serving me well (getting ~70 fps), I'm in no hurry. Just hoping Team Red's new product will give Team Green a run so that us consumers can benefit.

I don't usually install the latest drivers as they become available. Nvidia don't exactly have a good track record with their driver updates recently. Am currently still on version 376.33 and getting a stable 71-76 fps with my setup

Mind sharing what brand is giving you the "Tai Chi"? Alas, once warranty is expired even by a day, they do have a right to not honor. Some will do on goodwill basis.

There are some mini versions of the GTX1060. Zotac is one that I can recall

11.31am: GTX1080 FE price cut to $499 from $699 - This means all the other products will see price cuts too. GTX1070 FE and GTX1060 FE are currently priced at $449 and $299 respectively
11.48am: GTX1080ti announced. 35% faster than GTX1080. 3584 cores, 11GB, 11Gbps
12.05pm: GTX1080ti now in production. RRP $699
