I believe the argument has gone too far. This is an NVIDIA GeForce thread, and NVIDIA makes GPU from the mightiest of Titan X Pascal to the most-budget-kinda-waste-of-money Geforce 610. Anybody discussing about their NVIDIA GeForce product or their interest in GeForce product are welcomed, even if it is the Geforce 210 (why do you buy that card again?).

QUOTE(sniperz @ Feb 9 2017, 02:57 PM) Yeah but it is good if everyone respect all the budget limit of all the gamers. Not everyone can afford Titan X and even if it is possible, we tend to spend it elsewhere like foods , investments but not entire on gaming rigs. True. Different people have different priorities. It adds to the color of of the world. Some people prioritizes performance over graphical fidelity. Others prefer story over gameplay. Some prefer achievements over experiences. Having different priorities is what makes us unique, and special in our own way.My earliest Geforce was MX 4 or something, it has glorious moment for Half-Life / Counter Strike 1.6... Them good times! My first GPU was the Radeon 9600 pro, which later was replaced with my first Geforce card, the FX5500. Even having graphics card at the time, already make me feel special. Hehe |

QUOTE(g104 @ Feb 9 2017, 05:52 PM) Polaris even more less appealing compare to Pascal/Maxwell. each generation pace is slowing down same goes to CPU's segment. Is Polaris that boring? I think the improvement AMD has made over Bonaire/Pitcairn/Tonga is quite significant. But most of us would agree that between Pascal and Polaris, Nvidia definitely holds the crown this generation too.I somewhat hope that Nvidia will soon launch a GTX1040 with the performance of GTX750 Ti at RM449 |

QUOTE(craxors @ Feb 17 2017, 03:18 PM) Well, if the 1180/2080 is priced around RM2.8 -RM3.4K wouldn't it be better to go with those? Last I heard that the reason for going with Pascal refresh is to sell Pascal cards at lower price. Therefore when Volta came, they can justify it again when priced high since the gap of performance is much more significant. |

But do try to get the one with base price around RM729 or lower in my opinion. |

QUOTE(richard912 @ Mar 1 2017, 11:28 AM) Getting my updates here Holy freaking sheep! That's a significant price cut. That would mean that the GTX1080 should start around RM2500 now. EDIT: 11.31am: GTX1080 FE price cut to $499 from $699 - This means all the other products will see price cuts too. GTX1070 FE and GTX1060 FE are currently priced at $449 and $299 respectively 11.48am: GTX1080ti announced. 35% faster than GTX1080. 3584 cores, 11GB, 11Gbps 12.05pm: GTX1080ti now in production. RRP $699 |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Mar 1 2017, 03:16 PM) Well, they should be selling lower than market price since it's used. There would be lots of people upgrading to the GTX1080Ti since the price is exactly the same as GTX1080 FE, and those who are eyeing to upgrade would have more choice in their hand. |

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Mar 1 2017, 04:00 PM) But I doubt it will be the price stated cause it was directly convert from USD. As right now the currency exchange is really bombing in Malaysia, there might be hike on the actual price compare with it. If the price is 3.6k. I can just top out 300 hundred more to get 3 PS4 console. I hope it didn't get increase by much. Last time, GTX1080 FE was sold at $699 which is around RM3000 - RM3600. So with the GTX1080Ti is also priced at $699, it should be around that same price with our currency. Both of your GPU is fine, since you already have a GTX1070. Although there is quite a significant difference between 1070 and 1080 or even the 1080TI, I would wait personally, since the 1070 have no issues with Ultra at 1440p.As a 1070 user, I think I will continue use the card. Since I have to change my 2k monitor to 4k if I'm going to change to 1080. Heck, even my old computer in my hometown which is 670 still serve me well until now. ( Which most of the game is playable under medium setting ). |

QUOTE(tan_pang @ Mar 7 2017, 09:12 AM) I have questions on the GTX1080ti. AMD GPUs have more cores with less ROP, so I don't think that small difference would change much.Comparing the GPU of GTX1080ti and TitanXP, we can see that the 1080ti only have lesser ROP (8 lesser 88:96) What is the relationship between TMU and ROP? How can the same amount of cores count feed to lesser ROP? Will it have bottleneck at ROP and made some of the cores doesn't fully utilize? **By the way, since that they remove 1GB memory module from the board (which is 11/12 of ROP count), I think they won't have the GTX970 issue... TMUs are Texture Mapping Unit and ROP are Render Output Unit. The basics should be that TMU is used by GPU to place texture on 3D or 2D object, while ROP is used to render the image to screen. |

QUOTE(tan_pang @ Mar 7 2017, 11:14 AM) Since that the full GP102 chipset have 96 ROP with 224 TMU by design, it made me wonder how all these things connected and will some cores less active when some ROP disabled? Or is it irrelevant at all?? |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Mar 10 2017, 11:15 AM) Closer than ever. If OC I think can achieve it. Isn't the different is between 15% - 35%? 23% more price would be around RM3449, which isn't very far from the performance gained.Crysis 3, Far Cry Primal, ACU, The Division still can't quite hit 4k60fps, but majority can. If being slightly conservative on the settings, say AA, then you'll get to 60fps. ![]() Having said that, Volta flagship, either the GTX 1180 or GTX 2080 - knowing the gap between each architecture, will pretty much guarantee 4k60fps in all AAA titles. ... GTX 1080 Ti - RM3,899 GTX 1080 - RM2,800 Almost RM1,100 for ~ 10-15% in-game performance difference worth it? |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Mar 13 2017, 06:05 PM) Any reply from above , a low end card ? , getting which brand was better ? in term of temp and sound when loading ? Just go with Zotac GTX1050. Should be cheaper. From reviews, the GTX1050 series doesn't get very hot, even under full load.Because I can't find any review on both of them. There's a lot of Ti version but there is no non ti version review for 1050 |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Mar 15 2017, 07:17 PM) I can't find much review but zotac and asus is around the price , what i worry is fast noise when loading or coil noise when full load.I am less worry now as you mention temp wouldn't heat much. Well, they even designed a passively cooled GTX1050 Ti.http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/201...oler-silent-gpu http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-...ssive-hands-on/ There is even the low-profile version of these cards. With bigger and better cooling solution, I believe they can manage to maintain boost at higher clockspeed only. But stock clocks should be achievable with simple design cooler, with the 1050s. |
