Has anyone applied for this card yet? How is the application process? Does it requires you to go to the branch?

final update 6 Nov: called CS again to followup escsalation report (created since 10 Oct). no updates from branch side. CS promised to contact the branch PIC to follow up my case.

later in the evening, branch PIC contacted me via whatsapp to request for documents:

1. payslip bulan 10
2. bank statement bulan 10
3. kwsp 25
4. Copy ic

sign 1 page on the cc application form, PIC said no need fill details as he requested details via whatsapp directly from me. he will fill up the form himself.

it seems like the MAP application portal is basically USELESS and just redirect to respective branch to follow-up & process application.

basically, no cc application automation. to get bank muamalat card faster, better walk-in branch and fill in the cc application form (or prefill first before going)

Where to check this? I applied like 1 month+ ago, no news. Called cs check, then the branch staff email me.

Want a lot of docs : 2-months Latest Payslip / 6-months Payslip (for commission based salary), 2-months Latest Bank Statement (with credited salary) / 6-months Bank Statement (for commission based salary), EPF 2025, Employment Confirmation Letter

My last cc applications (mbb, affin, rhb...etc) from 2 years+ ago I think only payslip + EPF = settle. Are all other banks so strict now?

I have a SC Simply Cashback card with balance and i'm looking to cancel it because i couldn't waive the annual fee. Can I apply for a SC Platinum Mastercard Basic, cancel the cashback card and combine the limit? Do I have to clear off the balance first?

Do you manage to get more details on the wave cashback? I asked the branch but still lacking in details

Call SC and ask.

Usually they will want you to clear the balance before cancelling. I could be wrong, best to ask SC.

Wow, i got my cards today. But I m a bit confused, so the 5% cashback on weekend (all spending right?) and 5x treat points on weekdays, both on amex card? so the gold master one basically useless is it?

Yes use Amex only.
Sat/Sun 5% CB capped at RM50/month. T&C apply (some transactions no CB)
Mon-Fri 5xTP for most of transactions, 0x/1x TP for some transactions.
Read T&C, PDS.

You may use Mastercard if Amex is not accepted. Mastercard NO 5% weekend CB, No 5x TP. You cannot cancel the card. You need to pay SST RM25 per card every year.

It will be auto activated and SST charged.

Yes, but CB capped at RM50 /month only. If RM25000, 125000 TP much better than RM50.

hmm, I just activated the amex one and mastercard there says pending activation. oh well.

Oh, I can just spend RM1000 on weekends to get the RM50, then the remaining rm25000 on weekdays for the TP

Bear in mind, you can't pay any amount as you like to Spaylater-EC. Only final bill balance or outstanding balance IN FULL.

ya, i know, i always pay my spaylater when it reach around RM 1k++ if I reach this amount before 10th every month
