1. Annual Income: RM50K 2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes 3. Card required for: Cashback, Petrol, Dining 4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank 2 Gold 5. Interested in CC from: Any Follow-up question, currently I'm mainly using my Maybank Amex card for weekend 5% cb. Mastercard I found to be quite useless with only points accumulation. Would cancelling this Mastercard (keeping the Amex) and applying for the Maybank FC card (2% cb) be better? Is it allowed to cancel only Mastercard and keep Amex? |

QUOTE(jslee0610 @ Feb 2 2020, 08:27 AM) 1. Annual Income: RM50K Not sure if maybank allow cancel of mastercard and letting you to keep the Amex.2. Maybank FC Barcelona definitely is a good CB card for anything that your other CC doesn't have CB since it's giving 2% CB / RM50 cap on almost everything. You should get it before May to benefits from the May and Aug 10% CB / RM100 cap. Another recommendation is PBB Quantum which comes with 2 cards, 1 has online transaction 5% CB / RM30 cap and another 1 has contactless 5% CB / RM30 cap. This combination should keep you busy collecting cashback for the rest of the year. |

1. Annual Income: RM100K
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: YES, or simple requirement to waive 3. Card required for: Utilities - to be specific. AIR SELANGOR 4. Existing credit cards (if any): PB Visa Signature, MBB 2Card(AMEX only), MBB Barcelona Visa 5. Interested in CC from: - 6. Others: Special case arises. I am helping to pay utilities bill for Air Selangor of RM15,000. - Existing maybank card will not award any cashback or TP for JOMPAY. - Air Selangor only accept VISA & Mastercard. - So, I'm looking at how to maximize return (either cashback or points) for this one time bulk payment, via CC/wallet/etc. - Subsequent utilities payment will be around 1K. Thanks |

Which is the best credit card for using with Grab (food/car) and Foodpanda? Either in terms of cashback or rewards points multiplier.

1. Annual Income: RM42k
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: preferably 3. Card required for: Petrol & lazada installment 4. Existing credit cards (if any): no 5. Interested in CC from: Maybank (lazada only allow Maybank CC for installment) Anyway my real question is, I only started working full-time for the current company for 3 months, and passed my 2 months probation. Do I have a chance to get a CC from Maybank since I only have 3 months of payslips? Previously I worked full-time for 2 other companies which I quit due to bad management issues but they aren't more than 3 months each. Really need to buy some stuff on lazada that I can't fork out cash for, their installment plan is exactly what I need. Too bad it's only for Maybank cc |

QUOTE(Gaza @ Jan 23 2020, 05:09 PM) Hi pls advise - i have tried to apply for a few credit card every 3-4 months over the past 2 years but failed. Have applied for Maybank, RHB, UOB, HSBC, Citi, Aeon Credit. Sales agent said maybe commitment too high. Have 1 housing loan own name, and 1 more joint housing loan (but serviced in full by joint loan applicant) and 1 ASB loan. I checked CTOS my credit score is 692/850. I currently have a HL credit card which i pay in full every month - the limit is RM5k and applied to increase it before but not successful. Monthly spend around RM3k-5k so quite leceh sometimes midway through the month i have to settle my unbilled outstanding first then only can continue using the card. I also have a maybank supplementary card but i dont use unless for emergencies. Hi everyone, just to update i managed to get credit card after applying with StanChart (Visa Platinum). Maybe those who can't get from other banks can try them. Only thing is the credit limit is a bit low - around 1x monthly net salary.1. Annual Income: RM120k (basic) or RM180k (including bonuses) 2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferable but not necessary 3. Card required for: RM2-3k online (grab, foodpanda, shopee/lazada, netflix), RM1.5k bills (utilities, unifi, insurance), RM1k retail & f&b 4. Existing credit cards (if any): HL (main), Maybank (supplementary) 5. Interested in CC from: Any 6. Others: |
