Even if HyppTV starts 4K channel in Malaysia... High-Speed broadband (20mb minimum) is required so not everyone can get to watch because the problem is UniFi is not nationwide and the coverage now does not cover many places.

I suggest TM better not concentrate on 4K and put more efforts on expanding UniFi coverage to many many more places. With UniFi, at least HyppTV can be watched in better HD quality. TM belum lagi belajar cara berjalan, tapi mahu pergi berlari... tak masuk akal.

With wider coverage for UniFi, with HyppTV, at least a bit of competition can put some pressure against Assteruk.

HyppTV 4K channel? Netflix already have 4K content BUT not everyone nationwide can watch loh. What I noticed for the Netflix 4K quality when using UniFi speed of 30mb is... not good enough and I "believe" will not be as good as Satellite 4K video.

TM is expand their UniFi coverage. And, also make deal with gomen. But, the package is too high & not many consumer can afford to subscribe..

nowdays the price of the full hd tv is god damn cheap already i must say. if it is still expensive, then it is really affordability issue.

if u compare electronic products with the other products like food, property, etc.
electronic products should be the only product that the price continues to lower over time even yearly inflation.
if u consider the tv price 10, 20 years ago factor in inflation, the price of tv nowdays is dirt cheap actually.

Yes.. Now FHD TV should be the standard for most households.. But u see there still people using CRT TV..

Unless, you are YouTuber & can afford to buy 4K camera or smartphone that can shoot video up to 2160p resolution@30fps. But, majority in youtube views see that demands for 4K content are already acceptable. 4K@60fps is the next hype, the picture will be more smooth. Again, the problem is YouTube still not support 4K@60fps.

Imagine you shoot Malaysia travel destination & upload in YouTube in 2160p. For sure, your video will be top notch. And, the viewers can see 4K life in stunning 4K TV or Computer. For now, smartphone flagship still limit up to 2K resolution..

YouTube don't support 4K @ 60fps, you say? Wrong. YouTube now supports 8K @ 60 fps resolution.


However as you know, YouTube uses both H.264 and VP9 codec, depending on playback device/browser's support.

Which means, if your device or browser do not support VP9 by default (example Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari), YouTube will load the video as H.264 video codec instead of VP9. And the bad thing is, they set 1440p @ 60fps as maximum quality for H.264 codec, meanwhile VP9 can go to the maximum resolution possible and 60fps.
Which means, if the video itself has 4K or 8K, you will not able to select/watch 4K or 8K quality as the options will not be available, 1440p is the max.

Just relax guys. Ansa won't come so soon. Probably by the end next year.
What we just hope is the consumer choice.

Yeah, content is king. What channel they will offer, we not knowing it yet.
But, doubt that what documentary & variety channel in Ansa will offer. Kids still in big company like Astro. When la Astro will lose their hands with Disney & CN..

Drop the exclusive right. But, other player like HyppTV still not add that channel. And, since Discovery in Astro is Malaysia dedicated feed. Why not HyppTV add Discovery Channel that from Asia feed...

Want to be like Singtel TV in Singapore? SG boleh la pulau kecil saje. No coverage problem. I would say, in coming month HyppTV will add channel also. That is just TV add on. The price remain RM30/pack. But, when HyppTV start to add more channel. I'm very sure more pack by pack to ala carte will coming.

In the end, TM customer need to force to take one of bundle pack to maintain HyppTV. If not combine both service. I think HyppTV already die if TM not force their customer..
