In Indonesia, only the pay TV called Indovision uses S band for DTH service.
However, receiving/getting the service in Malaysia may not be the option for everyone. Because it suffers signal interference at areas where 4G services that operates in 2570-2620MHz (TDD LTE Band 40, used by Yes 4G and webe) and 2500-2570MHz/2620-2690MHz (FDD LTE Band 7, or simply known as 2600MHz band, used by almost all Malaysian telcos).
In simple words:
If your area still can receive Indovision as usual, that could mean none of Malaysian telcos are using LTE Band 7 and 40 in your area (maybe you are staying in rural area? Telcos normally prefers using other bands such as 900MHz or 1800MHz to provide LTE service for wider coverage in less dense areas like rural areas).
Or if you can only receive some TP, that means some telcos already start using one of the LTE bands mentioned.
Meanwhile for Indonesia, they won't experience any interference as their country do not utilise frequency range that falls in LTE Band 7 and 40, unlike many other countries around the world, including Malaysia.
The good thing is, since Indovision uses the S band frequency range of 2535-2655 MHz, you will not experience rain fade issue and you can receive adequate signal strength using Astro dish (provided that there are no LTE interference in your area). The only thing you need is change to S band LNB, that looks bigger than Astro's Ku band LNB, it looks like a small circle plastic tupperware. Disadvantage? The bandwidth is lesser than Ku band and even C band, so which means they cannot provide as much channels (SD/HD) as Ku band/C band can.
Personally, although Indovision channels isn't as much as others, but I do like their channel offerings. #1 may be applicable for Indonesia, but for Malaysia may not be the case. Consider another Indonesian pay TV, like Big TV, maybe?
So, the S band has weaker bandwidth than Ku/C-band? No wonder Indovision has less HD offerings. At least S-band has no interference with LTE signals.
Well, there are other Pay TV providers in Indonesia that uses the Ku-band (or C-band) such as TransVision (which is the one that I'm using now), Big TV, Orange TV and a few others.
At least both Big TV and TransVision has more HD channels than Indovision.
