They are not sure about the new FD rates for Jan 2025

Is the 4.1 % 12m TIA still on at MBSB?

Can somebody advise the FD promo for Ambank?

What is the meaning of 3rd point >> Should there be an Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) change, the promotional rate will be revised accordingly.
Does it mean the rate is not fixed? It's not considered FD then...

That is normal wording. If you place it before the OPR change, you won't be affected. But if there is an OPR change, they can modify this promo to a lower %, but will only be in effect for new placements.

This promo ended last year !

I messaged Bank Mualamat in Facebook and they informed me this campaign ended 31 Dec 2024.

Any new offering by them for January 2025??

I was informed by RHB BM usually 2 weeks before CNY will have new rates (promo) coming out as the bank opening account (ledger) for the year 2025. Guess it works for other banks too.

Want to ask, if want to put a large sum of money (>300K++) in FD, what is the best way to transfer the money to another bank? Buy bank cheque? Sorry noob, bank cheque should be under my name? or bank's name?
