Elite Pro suitable for recording purpose, i think this is the different between X-Fi Fatal1ty. Why dont get Fatal1ty??

Is that the only difference? Wat bout music quality in a whole? DAC?

DAC in elite pro is better than the rest xfi (which is same as EMU1212M, check the last page which is just mentioned )

Music quality wise.. not sure about it as i never heard elite pro before. However, music quality is something that is kinda abstract.. i guess only if u have a sensitive ear, or else u have to compare them side by side by using same speaker and same source..

Haiz...hope Creative company can updates the latest X-Fi drivers as soon as possible...then all X-Fi user can enjoy the TRUE X-Fi sound quality...

I just bought a second hand XtremeMusic.
Anyone here using Asio4All paired w this sound card?

X-Fi user here more than a year and the driver still sucks...period. Updated to the latest driver but still got crackling, static, pop,snap sound here and there....

Vista Driver and sotfware is lousy not even support my program. some production software when using the driver really crash..

Does anyone have the problem with any X-Fi card for that matter whereby, some of the games have no sound at all (some in movie and some in games).

For eg. Two Worlds and Lord of The Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2.

As for me, I can't really tell the difference between a Sound Blaster X-Fi and a Sound Blaster Audigy 2.

Not all game support EAX, so you will face have this problem if you have enabled EAX.

I lost my Xfi xtrememusic cd...

i downloaded the driver from creative website..

but the website lack of some of the applicationcompare to the original CD...

such as GUI controller...

so who can tell me where can download it???

I used to have that problem. Try change it to different PCI slot. Now solved already.
