Hi, recently i've purchased a 2nd hand x-fi which didn't come with the ori driver CD.. i've downloaded the driver and also the mediasource player, and everything from the creative xfi homepage.. but where do i download those THX configuration, EAX console, crystallisation, and many other plug in for this soundcard? btw im using x-fi xtrememusic.. i cant seem to find them on the creative website.. thx

emu0404 pair with aego? try to ask yuheng.. before this i thought they are nice pair, but yuheng had tried it out, and it doesn't sound nice.. maybe u can ask him for more info, and again, sound is very subjective

and emu0404 is only for stereo / 2.1, it doesn't support 5.1 speaker like your z5500, correct me if im wrong..

btw, new user of x-fi xtrememusic user reporting in (had been using it for around 1month)

hehe, lastime i tried touching the heatsink, and it's HOT.. cant imagine if i pack it with antistatic plastic..

Hehe, don't really have to follow other ppl's setting.. just take some time to tune it to suit your preference since sound is very subjective.. and hope that you enjoy it

Same user with same experience here.. but only experienced it during the boot up time lo.. in the window wise, a little bit slowed down (when i open up the CPU-Z, i can feel it), other than that, it's okie..

Hehe, aurilium depends on which speaker u use too.. some speakers sound very bad when pair up with PSC805.. example ATP3..

Hemm, then i actually got 1 philips speaker - Philips Acoustic Fusion A.3.610, now using S750, therefore that speaker only put it aside.. got this unit for mikechai last year.. not planning to sell as well as this is a rare unit and they use flat panel technology (NXF), but if there's interested buyer u may PM me, maybe i'll change my mind to let it go hehe

DAC in elite pro is better than the rest xfi (which is same as EMU1212M, check the last page which is just mentioned )

Music quality wise.. not sure about it as i never heard elite pro before. However, music quality is something that is kinda abstract.. i guess only if u have a sensitive ear, or else u have to compare them side by side by using same speaker and same source..

External DAC for your z5500? But bear in mind but most of the external DAC only support stereo channel... And just to clear things up, external DAC and external decoder are two different things

I guess that one u need a copy fro the ori driver CD. Not sure there's anyone share it out out there or not but lastime i open up a WTB thread for a copy of the driver cd lol

Unless you use the splitter or unless you have the front i/o bay. Not only for xtrememusic but generally most of the soundcards are like that..
