Hmm....last time i use XFI-Xtreme Music first Batch also without the headsink one, now they add the headsink in second batch....i think is really heat do....

ya i think when come to gaming it really hot
and still i pack my card with hard disk plastic........hope can find ers paper in malaysia...

hehe, lastime i tried touching the heatsink, and it's HOT.. cant imagine if i pack it with antistatic plastic..

about the extreme music and extreme gamer, will there be a big difference in performance between the two cards, because i play games and listen to music, it's kind a dillema, i checked the spec between these two, the difference is the connection thing which i am not familiar of, need some recommendation and advice.

Just got my XtremeMusic from jasonkwk today.

Sounds really neat when paired with my Edifier S4.1.

Does anyone have custom settings for it? I always pening when i try to set it

from headfi they say use audio creation mode and enable bit match...
but i feel not sutable for some song..........

ya after changing the op amp to lm4562
just change the power supply filter cap(forget how to say) of my x-fi to normal ELNA 2200uf 25v
really boost the soundstage and more detail in background
burn few more day and see.....

i'm still stick back to entertainment mode.

I should try or not to mod my elite-pro but still under warranty, i think i will wait a year haha

i think u can find some pro modder in this forum to do that
cause got warranty or dun have if the card die u will cry oso...haha.....
acually if the modder dint broken the padder or pcb most of the problem can be fix....

Hehe, don't really have to follow other ppl's setting.. just take some time to tune it to suit your preference since sound is very subjective.. and hope that you enjoy it

Guys... i wanna ask...

When u all using X-fi Xtreme Music.... After install the driver... do u all feel slow respone on ur pc? I kena it many times adi...

ya i feel it oso after install the driver in full really much slower when booting install using minimum likely will less increase the booting time...

try to figure out the setting on startup lo...

Same user with same experience here.. but only experienced it during the boot up time lo.. in the window wise, a little bit slowed down (when i open up the CPU-Z, i can feel it), other than that, it's okie..

when you check the startup setting , there is a lot the Creative software need to load...so like mine only activate the control panel, but if u using a xfi-elite pro even more software load.....

Bt i still face 1 more question.... I'm using the Logitech Z680, i jz wanna using the coaxial cable to connect between speaker & my x-fi xtreme music.... Bt dunno y when i test it.... The rear speaker is perform with the front speaker by the same time.... Get wat i'm means onot?

just found a new setting use audio creation mode with bit perfect
for playback using asio and max out the asio volume or suitable volume at asio page
much more impact for instrument and sound ..... but pls lower down the main volume........
