I have a question here regarding my X-Fi. Why i'm having problem with inter-channel leakage during RMAA adjusting level?

I'm interested in modding my X-Fi. How much the minumum cost will it be? ie DAC+Caps+ADC... Is it really worth to mod a SC? any significant performance/acoustic improvements?

Where can i get this type of opamp - National LM4562? Is it the best DAC?
Is it important/necessary to replace the caps after replacing DAC?

QUOTE(Najmods @ Jun 6 2008, 02:07 AM) Opamp is not a DAC, do some reading first before modding. Opamp = OPerational AMPlifier, DAC = Digital to Analog Converter I already mention that changing opamp gives the biggest sound difference of all You can buy those opamp from National Semiconductor themself or you can buy them from forumer (I forgot who, you can search at Music and Audio Related Accessories subforum) Sorry my bad. You haven't answer all my question though. anyway thx for the info. This post has been edited by campsol2k: Jun 6 2008, 02:28 AM

QUOTE the reason from Creative was they request license from Dolby/DTS...
but the user explanation was Creative intentionally cripple the function in Vista to boost their new product sales.. I guess that reason might be true/not... but the DD/DTS license is dedicated to SC itself but not specifically under OS like vista.... am i correct? if i'm correct.. why they need request license again? from webby.. x-fi xm can be hardmodded into fatality. Is it true? This post has been edited by campsol2k: Jun 16 2008, 02:16 PM

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 16 2008, 09:46 PM) may i know which X-Fi you using? non-Elite Pro won't show those excellent results... X-Fi XtremeMusic first batch. I noticed there were few inconsistencies regarding RMAA test results... I start to feel weird....
