Does anyone have the problem with any X-Fi card for that matter whereby, some of the games have no sound at all (some in movie and some in games).
For eg. Two Worlds and Lord of The Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2.
Thanks in advance,
As for me, I can't really tell the difference between a Sound Blaster X-Fi and a Sound Blaster Audigy 2.

QUOTE(tyss @ Mar 27 2008, 09:34 PM) Using X-fi + Z680 speaker. How come no sound from the center speaker? Only when i change to DTS mode then only got sound from the center speaker. I tested with DTS audio file, all got sound but not the center speaker . Is it a known issue, cause i see many complaining about it in the creative forum Check the speaker settings via the console, sometimes when you play certain games the settings may accidentally tweak from a 5.1 to 2.1 . If that's not the case, I am not too sure myself. I have SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Music with a Logitech Z5500 speakers. Cheers

This is probably a good time to not buy the future new X-Fi stuff from Creative anymore. Especially after the Daniel K case.
Hopefully other soundcard manufacturers could give Creative a run for its money. I reckon this very well be my last Sound Blaster card and will not resort to buying any of their products anymore.
Cheers

Anyway its only a matter of time when everybody switch to Windows Vista including myself.
Finding my old Audigy 2 soundcard redundant kinda sucks ass. As well as a crippled drivers for my soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme music suck ass just to pave way for their new X-Fi 2 (which is likely to be exactly the same like X-Fi 1)
Consumers must teach Creative that we should not tolerate such unethical corporate behaviour.

Hi guys,
I previously used the Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic and it was quite alright.
Currently I am using Asus Xonar DX2, I can say that this is a lot better for both gaming and movies. The sound effects from Xonar is a lot clearer, crisp and less boomy compared to X-Fi XtremeMusic.
Also the software that comes with Xonar is less demanding yet have more features when compared to X-Fi's offerings.
Just my 2 cents.
