You using all the philips setup then is will be better normal lo cause aurilium is make for his own speaker use. But so far mine using a headphone for this sound card. |

This is about the Crystalizer function, I find that,
1. Streaming video like youtube can create distorted sound 2. On certain mp3 or video files, the sound can emit distorted noises as well. Is it the fault of the x-fi or the source video/audio encoding? |

QUOTE(cusx @ Aug 31 2007, 11:02 PM) im so bluured -Elite Pro was the top of the line of X-Fi family. It consist of all the features of X-Fi family sound card, can said all in whats da differents between 1) X-Fi elite pro 2) X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series and 3) X-Fi XtremeGamer Professional Series whats good better for Gaming and whats the IO console for ? ....... pls help here.. very bluuured one. Elite Pro is suitable to studio user for recording purpose. -Fatal1ty is the second high end sound card of X-Fi family, most suitable for gamer. -Xtreme Gamer is the cut cost version of Fatal1ty. No THX certified, no I/O console The I/O console gives some convenient to user: direct connect his/her earphone or microphone on I/O console, adjustable earphone and microphone volume on I/O console, control computer volume via the remote control...... click here for more information |

The Elite Pro also have better DAC (same DAC as the E-MU 1212M) so at stock it sounds better than the other X-Fi (for music)
For gaming, if you play Battlefiled 2 or 2142, Quake 4 you better buy the Fatal1ty since it can benefit from the 64MB X-RAM (I don't remember other games that suport this, not really a gamer nowadays). Other game doesn't benefit much, so even the lowly XtremeMusic or XtremeGamer is sufficient to reduce CPU overhead and better sound dynamics since all of the support EAX5 Hope that helps |
