You have a nice piece of speaker (the one I want to buy actually, but end up buying Klipsch Promedia GMX). Go treat yourself by buying X-Fi XtremeMusic (not XtremeAudio, its just rebadged Audigy SE) if you have the money.

Out of all the basic x-fis, extrememusic is the best right? I'm contemplating a buy this week, is this a good time to buy or is there going to be a price drop over the horizon?

This is about the Crystalizer function, I find that,

1. Streaming video like youtube can create distorted sound
2. On certain mp3 or video files, the sound can emit distorted noises as well.

Is it the fault of the x-fi or the source video/audio encoding?
