Don't even touch the Extreme Audio, it's not even an X-Fi under the bonnet. Go for Extreme Music or Extreme Gamer

Great speaker when its working, it's a known fact that the S750 amp konk easily. Better u get Megaworks 550THX, almost the same sound quality as the S750.

There's no gigaworks 550, only got gigaworks S700 or gigaworks S750. In terms of sound, the S750 is definitely better but not a lot more better, just a little bit. Megaworks 550Thx is already widely regarded as one of the best sounding PC speaker from the legendary Cambridge Soundworks(R), u will definitely not going to be regret getting 550THX

got a really interesting question to ask you guys...

is there any difference in audio quality output between XP xfi driver VS vista xfi driver using the same EQ, same settings?

I'm currently using Vista but somehow everytime i use back XP and listen to my songs, it did sound a bit different, XP output seems to be abit better. I'm not sure whether it's just me or the driver really got different effects on the output .

What player u use in Vista? I use Winamp in Vista and have the exactly 100% same EQ setting as in XP...the difference is i saw the 'software mixing' in Vista instead 'hardware mixing' in XP, so i think this is the cause of SQ degradation since no direct sound in Vista...

another problem in Vista was the sound sometimes skip or pop....not often, but never happen in XP...

Actually i adi prepared myself to use the Vista, the networking in Vista is much more better than XP, because my daily activity is surf net and listen song, but i'm serious in sound quality, i can't compromise although it is just a minor degradation, so now i 90% in XP and 10% in Vista...

i am not so pity since i only bought 2nd hand X-FI for cheap price...but for those who bought the top end ElitePro for RM1000++ will jump from the building...

I think you should be OK too since your ElitePro is only RM280 from Blitz...lol....but this sound card really hold me back to XP...now i just wait and see when i will loss my patient towards Creative...

But others brand like Auzentech say 'no' to me because my bank account say 'no' to them...lol

True, I wanted to buy X-Fi cards, but I think long and hard about it. I still undecided, but I leaning towards anti Creative, and anti Audiotrak too. They seems to be as lazy as Creative. I don't mind if the driver don't get updates as often, but if only it got no problem in the first place

Actually i really want the ElitePro from Blitz but was too late because i just got my XtremeMusic before that...RM280 too attractive to me although it might not work well in Vista...

Auzentech X-FI or what?

it's not a matter of getting xfi at cheaper price, it's the hardware and software long term support that's important to me!

no point buying a Ferrari, if over the next 10years, there's no petrol to run it. same case here, ppl dun really upgrade their soundcard as often as graphics cards...good soundcard is a good soundcard, just pls dun cripple it purposely.

Yes, the HD2 driver is still on beta stage, dated February last year, I've shot them with two e-mail, the first one the replied they will get a new driver soon (last year) and recently I found more problem, shot them with another more angrier e-mail and they have not responded. You know what I do to this? I totally disintegrate my soundcard, I rather use onboard sound connected to DAC and improve the DAC with the components on the card itself

no matter how pro it also same as me...XtremeMusic...only fatal1ty pro got 64MB RAM onboard...

ya..about the speakers, I actually bought a new sets of speakers, currently still burning in... but if i still dun like the SQ, I'm going to give it to my brother, no point putting in my siggy at the moment...

The speakers i'm using now is a multimedia type speakers. compared to AegoM, really no fight in soundstage!! AegoM wins hands down in term of filling up the whole room, and the clarity. BUT...with this speakers, my rocks songs/electronica/and other music sounds better, more kicks and more power! Well...i guess, no speakers are perfect!

My brother asked me buy him  speakers, so i took the opportunity to buy something i wanted to test!!
