Sorry jason, I only play games on my ps2, psp & wii smile.gif
My SZ handles heavy engineering structural analysis calculations very well... so no complains for me there.

deed, why bother with vista upgrade biggrin.gif ... I havent done mine and wouldnt bother lah.
Coz it cheap i guess. For just rm40 something wif shipment. I ain't planning to upgrade it after I get the pack, will wait till Vista is fully stable. But then I know I own Vista which I can upgrade to anytime. brows.gif

I've been buying gamin platforms since the Sega Megadrive days lah blush.gif
In order of purchases; Megadrive 2 - Dreamcast - Nintendo 64 - PS1 - PS2 - PSP - Wii. Heh heh... so quite a lot of gaming consoles. I'm not tempted for PS3 yet due to the unavailability of good games... maybe when Gran Turismo HD comes out.

The Wii is excellent fun but gets tedious after a while - suppose I'm more used to slouching on the sofa pressing buttons rather than using the body strength. laugh.gif I'm more playing with my PSP now... great short games, nice enough to play in bed.

Yes, my analysis software needs graphic support for OpenGL... hence my decision for external graphics card.

C25 is 4988, SZ43 is 5988, SZ44 is 6988 and finally ultimate SZ48 is 7988.

Sony really know how to lure ppl to get better and better spec laptop due to these alang alang gaps of price and spec...

Just want to confirm again, SZ4* are using 1 slot 1GB RAM and 1 slot empty?

If it's same as C25 which using 2 slots 512MB RAM, then it'll be headache to get upgrade....

Still planning to look for more choices beside VAIO...
See what i can see in PIKOM fair later....

is C25 using 2x512MB RAM?
not 1x1GB? blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

Yep... IIRC, only the SZ and FE has the extra empty slot. The C-series have both slots filled with 512MB Ram... hence the lower price.

I'm still feeling weird why sony doesn't include the remaining battery timer in C series, though even those el cheapo laptops have that, but not a vaio
