none, except Norton Internet Security and it's related app. and my vaio load fast , same goes with shutting down smile.gif

usually those user who get the US version will only uninstall the AOL stuff and so on. you can google up for it, but most people doesnt really uninstall the vaio application and so on.

here i attach my task manager while writing on this text after a fresh boot up and i only uninstall the norton internet security when i get my vaio. yes, it's vista os smile.gif

Hmm... I kind of like my Norton and just renewed my license online 2 days ago smile.gif

Its all relative lah... few seconds difference only wont make a huge improvement to my life.

well, with moderate antivirus with just do fine to me. unless i need tight protection against viruses, i will go for kaspersky not norton hahaha.

to add more, i dont need Norton Internet Security, it's useless to me. and i dont surf to any pr0n site or war3z site where the vulnerability to get infected by viruses is high.

avg + ccleaner + ad-aware personal + windows defender + windows vista security policy (file execution permission) are more than enough to me smile.gif

All Sony Taiko, few question to ask

1) When 1st purchasing Sony Notebook, i need to register the warranty online or what for the warranty purpose..

2) To upgrade from local to international warranty cost RM198?? what i need then?

3) To upgrade from 1 yrs to 3 yrs local warranty how much hav 2 pay? what does it cover? Term n condition?

Looks like I'm a lil late here. Got a VGN-C13G somewhere in Dec 2006. Simply luv the 13.3" screen.

Well, dudes and dutess out there, burn the recovery cd set. It'll cost ya RM150.00 to purchase it from Sony.

Oh well I know this because I recently messed with Linux and killed my entire hdd partitions including the recovery. partitionVaio zoinked. I didn't make the recovery cds. With the drivers available at the support site, it will only bring ur lappie back to minimal working conditions. No softwares, the memory stick icon in explorer is an ugly default, cd/dvd dual drive performs at it's very slowest, etc.

I'll be sending my lappie back to sony for a re-image soon.

splinter, register yourself at Sony store online... then you can register your lappie there and the warranty can be viewed there as well. I have many Sony gadgets and they have all been registered there... so its pretty cool to view a list of all your gadgets and their warranty period! cool2.gif

yeah...5 year is super worth it....

btw sony hk just launched the revise version of sz lappys...
anyone knows when will the new refreshed version of the sz series reach malaysia?
so not worth it 2 buy vaios now when refreshed versions are the same price....if buy in hong kong its a steal for RM 5300 for the new sz43(1.8mhz, 100gb)
