SR isnt mean to replace SZ , instead its another alternative to those who wanted to opt for mobility notebook rather than SZ.
the new Z series "might" be a replacement for SZ.

Sony Vaio CR32 is using Dual core and not C2Duo.
From performance wise, it is not that good i can say. take note, it only comes with black and white in colour.
Why only Toshiba ?

Sometimes, Sony Style will give away things like keyboard cover, Sony Backpack for CR35.

Sony CR32 got pink also.
and ya thats what i mean by no freebies.. they give keyboard cover and backpack which all other sony centre and other authorised dealers give... if i rephrase my words.. it is sonystlye give freebies but other places give freebies plus freebies...
so for some tips.. if want to buy from sony centre, make sure call sonystyle and find out what are the sure promotion things that they give. then go to sony centre and make sure they give all the things that sony style give and on top of that PLUS many more other freebies..... some that i can name that u can ask is vaio wired optical mouse, laptop fan, pendrive, headset, cleaning kits, and bag also. and discount also lar.. keep in mind that most of the freebies will be 3rd party items meaning that its not under sony vaio.

Ah thanks. Not too familiar with VAIO models. I went to check and apparently SR was meant to replace the low end models of SZ.

why Toshiba? coz generally i would say i love toshiba and sony where these 2 brands are equally exp and about the same mid average level in laptop industry~

So usually at PC fair Sony Center would they provide freebies as well? can i straight collect the pc after i pay, or i have to wait for them to deliver like Dell ~?

CR32 ya i realise is Dual Core not C2D....my budget around rm3k~3.5k...so either CR32 or Toshiba tat meet my budget that all~.

Yeap, at PC fair, they will provide freebies as well, and of course you can collect your laptop straight away after payment unless it happen that no more stock and you have to made an order. Then it will be different case.

Yea, due to the Dual Core processor, it might lack of performance, but it can still perform well.
I would recommend you to boost the RAM up to 2GB. Bro, extra around Rm130+ nia, you can afford one, you can make it 2GB+ 512MB RAM jor

Total up will be 2.5GB ram

CR32/35 is worth to buy for a sony vaio series and for those who wan a good looking notebook with acceptable performance, just that i am so greedy about the graphic and the ATI x2300 still cant satisfied my need

anyway, CR35G's Vista rating is 3.8 and dell xps1330 were around 3.9~4.x

am a CR35G Red user and so far so good, but got free 1GB ram(total 3GB)+keyboard cover+laptop briefcase+vaio optical mouse+extra 1 year warranty with rm4488 from a very nice sales person
