Of coz you can use VAO CR for gaming purpose or entertainment purpose, just that you might not able to get perfect result from it.
Well, as long as your VAIO able to fulfill the basic requirement of the game =)

hmm...... when u buy the cr series laptop try not to focus on gaming so much ok..... just put gaming as the last on the list...

Just a bit of question. Which vaio is best to do graphics design? Like do 3d max, video or photo editing (photoshop, illustrator cs3 etc)
And most importantly you can play latest games lol

u can check in www.sonystyle.com.my and check the specs of the laptop u want to get.
check whether the supplied accessories has a windows xp pro install disc.
n also have to hurry to buy coz there is a dateline until when they will give the downgrade rights

Go for FZ if you wish to have better graphic.
Well, if you prefer XP, you can choose to downgrade it to XP os by urself, then download all the drivers from sony website and install it. =)


If you are buying SZ or TZ model,
Yes, for Sony Style staff, they did provide this kind of service for the customer but with condition, you purchase it from them lor.
They can help you downgrade it and install the drivers for you.
For other models, you better double confirm with them ya.

Yeap, its true that SZ series having good processor and graphic.
BUT,
Honestly, you might not knw that SZ high performace battery mode having the same battery life with FZ series ^^
If you want to have longer battery life for SZ, yes you can,
by switching it to power saver mode in which it will use the intel graphic inside it and no longer using Nvidia graphic

So, i cant see much difference btw SZ and FZ except the TPM module, weight, design and price.

Sommore, FZ series provides super bright clear LCD which is better than SZ series ^^



If you are looking forward for good price, can go for Best Denki.
But if you more into the service provides to you, go to any sonystyle official shop ^^

yup... no doubt FZ series is much high performance.... and is totally good for ppl who want fast and heavy gamers...
actually it is up to preference also... if for me personally i prefer SZ... coz it is hybrid graphics... so can suit the user when want play games then on the gc....
but u do have a good point also...

I just got myself a Vaio CR for college...

New Vaio's coming next month... Interested in the Vaio FW... Will get it in a year or so...

both website should have the same price... sometimes sonystyle update the price faster then sony.com and if got discounted price sonystyle show 1st... but if about product info then sony.com will update their website faster/// thats my observation.. but the lower price is always the correct price
and just for info sony shop like sony centre and sonystlye is diff... sonystlye only go 4 outlets... klcc, curve, time square and tebrau... if u really care bout fast and good service get from sonystlye... but they dont give freebies and no discount from advertised price..

Dont have freebies oh..... Well at least not on normal days. Only when end of the year promotion or during vaio roadshow... In normal sony centre or other dealers they will give what sonystlye have on promotion PLUS freebies...
Like if u go sony centre u can ask for vaio wired optical mouse, cooler fan, sony pendrive, cleaning kit and many more...
Like that day i go sonystlye they only give one free khakis bag which all other places also give... if u understand what i mean..
I had to pay the full price for the vaio wired optical mouse.

if u purely comparing price vs performance then toshiba is better. if u r using for normal use only then get vaio CR32.
