My head unit just died with a loud popping sound

How long is the warranty for the head unit?

If cannot claim warranty, what is the best head unit that is compatible with the steering wheel control and reverse camera/sensor and also front sensor?

Not sure how long is the warranty. You can re use the reverse camera but the front and rear parking systems probably won't work without rewiring and a CAN decoder/adapter.

Visit EA Autoworks. Very good workmanship.

Edit: I searched for head units with Parking Displays on Google and it seems like some aftermarket units have it.

Check whethwr the fuse at the rear if the unit yg pop? Ada 20A fuse kat belakang iinm..

i plan to buy NEW 2018 suprima s....is it better now compare to previous model? i mean all the problem such as OCH, rattling etc already solved?

Much better than the suprima eh? But I assume you're talking about modding and how much more will it cost to improve the performance significantly 🤔

power wise, the 4B10 is on par for horsepower... 140-143PS.. while the CFE is 140PS..
torque, the 4B10 is far lower at 172nm against 205nm of the CFE..
and those are crank horsepower..

0-100kmh times are almost the same.. with the Suprima getting 9.9s and the 1.8 Inspira @ 10s.. the 2.0CVT Inspira is slower @10.5s...

Chassis wise, i dont really feel much of a difference... both are good handling chassis but can benefit from some bracing...
Inspira has a much more balance ride quality for Malaysian roads.. the Suprima can be quite hard and jarring at times..

Thanks for the breakdown. I always thought suprimas handle great especially around corners didn't know the inspira was good too. Although suprima comes with way more safety features.

Around corners it handles great.. very minute bodyroll.. given the hard suspension setting.. harder than the preve..
The inspira handles corner good too.. abit of bodyroll, but it absorbs bumps better..

I am considering the same. Is it worth it to buy a new Suprima S? I heard 2017 model Proton is giving good rebates. Any updates as compared to 1st batch Suprimas?

look in facebook or garage sales section bro...
most here are owners..
mounting about 400+ per et.. exclude labour..
absorber is 700+ include labour in sc..
4 disc are about 4xx-5xx...
4 pads probably around 3xx...

I have extra set of disc rotor and pad for front. If you're interested, let me know. Letting go dirt cheap. Skim once. Less than 35k km.

Can't be. I just went to Proton Edar showroom in the weekend. They still selling 2018 model without discount.
