Do you know anyone has insider news/update? According to my SA, the ECU update can prolong the radiator fan life span.

Updated mine during my service like weeks ago. According to the service advisor, the ecu update is a pop up notice just like the previous starter adapter recall.

Car definitely feels less jerky during low speed and way sharper response.

cry.gif First time my car overheat, some more in the middle of traffic jam. Can see the temp indicator max and very loud alarm sound. Luckily it's raining a little and there's a bus stop nearby to stop. Had to keep on driving to the bus stop and can see the rain water vaporized on the bonnet. Let the car cool down for hours before continue driving back home.

The next day check the radiator and found the water almost completely dried up. Had to drive early to SC to avoid traffic jam. At one traffic light stop can see the temp start shooting up sweat.gif .

Confirmed radiator fan wire harness problem. Temporary solution bypass the wire harness while waiting for spare parts. Replaced the water and add new coolant. Now with cold weather can see the temp at certain time drop shortly below 50%.

You have not replace the new wire harness for the radiator fan yet? the recall on few years ago.

The SC said my SS was not affected because it was not in the batch with defective wire harness. If that's the case then the wire harness can only last for roughly 3 yrs + or more for those lucky users. If you r not aware that you radiator fan is not functioning then u will get a loud awakening alarm and later see the vapor or smoke coming out from your car bonnet.

owhhh.. my 2014 preve actually i bring over COSE for some checking. Then I ask the customer service if there is any recall parts need to be replaced, so she check against the car service record and found no record of the fan wire harness being changed and was replaced for FOC. And the most important, she didn't check against the car batch number. Means, have to be replaced if it is not being replaced before this.

So, I am guessing you were sending to the SC other than the COSE right? I tried before this where I been to other SC, where they will charge for the parts and labor. If go COSE, labor + parts of recall parts = FOC.

Hi. I also updated my ECU on last weekend. The throttle response definitely faster, no lag but I notice the engine vibration visible during waiting for traffic light. "D" + brake on.
Do you notice this?

Did you updated it at COSE? I have called one SC outside and they said they have not receiving any news on the ECU update...
Does this ECU update also apply to preve older version (Before the NVH refinement model)?

I went to Proton Edar branch SC. As far as I know, only applicable for Preve and Suprima with VT3+ gearbox.
I am not sure what is the CVT version for that.

Guys wanna ask if your guys experienced where after toue reverse the car, put D then hv to wait for about 2sec then car only will move? I did the clutch adaption, it helps but only short period of time.

Does the new ecu update helps on this issue?
