Change your tyre. Or maybe check the rims got slight dent also can contribute the vibration.

Bahaha, haven’t got the car yet. Probably tomorrow. But one thing I can tell you, I won’t be as brave as I was driving Rimau. Rimau is still perfectly weighted and stable.

1. Service history

If previous owner followed the schedule given by Proton and didn't bother topping up for better engine oil, it may have sludge issues which can lead to turbo failure. Can be dealt with by cleaning everything out but still not recommended since you dont know how long the owner has been driving the car under such condition for. Check other important things too like cooling system condition, warranty history (oil cooler hose, fan harness, cvt damper, etc.

2. Gearbox condition

Most people dont know how drive a car with CVT gently off the line, and with Punch it's worse since there's a engagement delay due to it being clutch based. Some proton foreman that dont know how to fill the gearbox fluid to the correct level, which can reduce lifespan even more. You need to bring someone experienced for this.

If you urgently need a car, might not be a good choice since it requires an in depth analysis as quite a few things can go wrong with this car.

Trying to keep this car in a tip top condition can break your wallet, and parts don't last as long as expected, which is normal for Proton's own stuff.. Their service cost comparison vs competitor cars don't take into account when things break or how long parts last for, which when taken into account can get really expensive.

Thanks for the in depth experienced review.

personally liked this model for some reason. also understood the upkeep for turbo and cvt engine.

Probably will acquire one and do light modification to exhaust downpipe to muffler. As spirited driver myself.

as I jump from a 2door to 4door. having "retired" to more formal requirement like fuel efficiency, handling, comfort and feature... not to forgets the proton throttle responses. JMHO.

I will take this review into my consideration.

Much appreciated!

Can solve, but requires time and patience. I went till the point of breaking the air vent knobs so that they can be made to sit tightly and yet move smoothly, alongside all sort of stuff to solve design issues.

Yea gotta check it one by one , normally SC don't really bother my complain except Senaxis. I really appreciate their patience however it still not really solve the rattling problem.

in my humble opinion, i think its your front left or right disc. try let proton test. next is tayar. change new. My experience.. i changed brand all new tyres and then still vibrate, went to proton they test and test and confirmed disc warped.. proton have replaced me 2 pairs of front rotors. this is below 40k mileage.

Any place near PJ SS2 area can recommend to service brake caliper. I had service many time my rear brake still making noise just one side. Don't intend to change brake pad still thick. Complain many times at Proton SC only clean the brake pad. It only stay quiet for a short period of time than come back again the squeaky sound. The sound only happen at beginning use of the brake usually next day or park for long hours. I want to try service brake caliper see can solve problem.

Do you have a picture of bulb sitting inside the headlamp? My RH headlamp seems to be shorter than LH after bulb changed.
