Suprima has a better CVT than the Preve, i.e. it was designed to be quieter, so you don't hear that damn whine over 100km/h.

Besides that the Suprima should have a more aggressive tuning so generally you get a lot more power delivery across the range versus a turbo preve.

This is my average fuel consumption. That was my lowest average so far, usually is around 9.8L/100KM.
Any suggestions on how to further reduce the fuel consumption will be appreciated.

PS. I do aware turbo car usually uses more fuel but sometimes, when I don't feel like in so called "racing mode", I just wanna drive in relaxed manner where I can save more fuel. 😁

Yup, complete 60k service

I don't think its gonna be problem free, but hopefully will last lar.. OCH has been replaced once, the car has overheated 3-4  times over the years due to the fan wire harness melt. The bulbs (headlights and brake lights) needs to be changed every few month... The transmission and engine mount also was changed less than 2 years ago and change again during the 60k service.. and alot more lah..

What proton is doing now is just replacing the parts. But part quality still the same.

WOW! Almost RM 5K. Hmm... Thinking of getting either a Persona or a Polo. Polo 60K KM major service is about RM 2.5K.
minus those parts that has or might have problems.

Happen to have prob with my suprima's wheel alignment. Goes more towards left. Done alignment a few times already. Any idea what I should do next

Hi Bro, i am not sure if there is a 2018 model Suprima. Most places i seen them getting rid of 2017 models. i suggest you test drive the car and have a feel first. the cvt will need some getting used to, as you need to have some patience on take off and allow the clutch to bite before giving it more throttle, otherwise you will be in line to repair gearbox prematurely.

As for the OCH i do not think proton had changed the hose material. however change it at the required interval and you should be fine.

Sorry, no dealer to recommend. recently we bought an Iriz from Proton Platinum Center and it was a nightmare. Car sales man who knows jack about what he is selling and lots of other issues.

prepare to change new set of gb.  or prepare at least 10k.. then only you are ready to do so.

when you press on brake pedal.. the wet clutch inside cvt is disengaged.. n i dunno if the rpm will be cut off at 3K when you do so.
normally what i did:

on hill:
pull up handbrake n let the clutch engage for 1-2s then let go handbrake n the car will move upward on its own then only i press gas pedal.

on normal road:
i just lift up brake pedal n let the clutch engage 1s then only press on gas pedal once car is moving forward slightly.

well.. once you lift up foot from brake.. the clutch inside will be engaged. but it need times 1-2s.. otherwise the belt will slipped when you press the gas.. and during service you might see those fine metal particles when changing the cvt fluid filter

Top end is improved, but you'll still run out of puff after reaching around 200km/h, so don't expect to win any Myvis even with MBO.

Just a quick review, didn't do much test. The other users explained it better, there's a marked improvement between 100 to 140. If you have a few years on your car and want to feel like it's your first day getting it, do the mod, no regrets.

One example I can think of... older cars like iswara/saga trying to accelerate in what seems to be a gear too high... there is a sound that appears under this condition that I believe is engine knocking noise

Any of u guys have replaced this car's alternator before?
My Amaron battery lost all charges after car left idle for more than 24 hours... battery been used for 14 months and still under warranty.

Batteryku guy came and check found that alternator charge not strong enough when both headlights & Aircond are on.
Battery can still charged up to 78% after car run for 15 minutes (without lights & AC of course).

So i decided to send my car to another SC, and found is only because Balancing .. so now after do Balancing .. my car no longer vibrate on 120 already .. after this Balancing or alignment will send to SC, outside shop do like shit .. So relief is not a driveshaft issue. ..

Well sent the car back to COSE Shah Alam and technician diagnostic conclusion it was due to component Throttle body got clogged with dust. What they did was servicing and clean up.

So far observation issue not happening again. Weird enough to know such problem does occurs in Proton model.
