Usually no issue, but to be on the safe side, remove it in case there is a major warranty claim. You can ask Drex on how they rejected his gearbox claim when you visit him

Should not be a problem. Just make an appointment and when they call, tell them you want them to check for software updates, or ask your SA to do it and give you the service sheet as proof

Guys, my car will be doing its 60km service. Can you guys share the estimate price for the service. I cant find any service manual price for this car. All shared across internet is old version. Can someone upload the service manual cost?

Any owner here facing tickling sound from the steering area?

When the steering is fully turned? If so, it should be normal. But check with the SC when you do your next service just in case it is a problem.

Not when fully turned but during uneven road. Before this, there's also loud knocking sound during uneven road but after they replace the front anti roll bar bushes, the knocking sound gone but the soft tickling sound persist. Steering rack been replaced though.

At 70kkm i noticed green stain under my engine block.. could it be radiator fluid? Plus there is screeching sound coming from engine cover area when accelerating or even on stand still while warming up engine. Any ideas? Just changed rocker gasket at p3 plentong. All service done at sc branch at p3 not outside shop . 2014 premium is the ss make

I;m shortlisting this car as its around 40k+ for a second hand and it fits my budget.

1) Is there any reason why one should not purchase this car?

2) Are there any known problem with this car model?

3) Is there any review from lowyat member on this car? (would prefer a personal review rather than review from comemrcial car site)

Your advise are most appreciated.

1) lousy material quality, potentially poor reliability
2) oil cooler hose bursting, gearbox problem, turbo problem, engine and transmission mounting short lifespan, radio, etc
3) really good handling without any mods. Changing to PS4 tyres makes it even better. You don't need to bother with anything else. Decent power output, better after remapping.

Depends on your level of acceptance. The poor material quality is mostly affecting the interior dashboard panels, air cond knobs etc.

Since you're going for a used Suprima, bear in mind the usual things you need to check when buying used cars, and go through the interior thoroughly, play with the air cond knobs and buttons etc.

Then ask for a really long test drive. Ensure that the gearbox doesn't have any abnormal jerking or slipping. Bring someone experienced with Punch CVT to help.

for 2nd hand, you really need to open up everything to check.. as there are many reasons why its being sold..mostly is due to critical part faulty.

i am damn luckly to get preve unit previously owned by cose where all the maintenance being taken care of, so far no issue with och as have replaced it once i take ownership. now approaching 40k of usage since last och change, to be replace on next oil change.

as mentioned, most of och is burst at the inlet.. due to [no proper maintenance -late oil change or use some weird additives, engine oil etc] sludge forming inside the och device, and pressure builtup after that, oil properties change to acidic, etc etc etc etc are the main reasons why it burst/leak.
