For Note or Android users thinking of switching over to iPhone 7/7+, I'd like to offer my experience using iPhones. I had used all the iPhone series since first model with exception of iP5S
Be prepared for a " shock" at how closed IOS is vs Androids
Here are some :

It is basically the management of files on IOS vs Android
To me is quite an important issue but could be totally unimportant to others

IOS restricts any file type to only one app and one must reassigned the same file to other apps if needed eg a PDF file if assigned to Adobe Reader cannot be read by any other apps unless I reassigned it again and that needs iTunes
Using iTunes to manage my files collection is troublesome
Unlike Android you can do practically anything on phone itself eg delete, edit file names, move, copy etc
Most files ( except video) I am unable to delete directly on phone unless to use iTunes
All files downloaded through Mail app if I assigned a certain app to open it , I must use the same app to access it again

Whatsapp : every image and video files is lumped together in one single Camera folder together with all my other photos. Deleting any images/videos on whatsapp will not delete the file and I need to manually go into camera folder to delete it and than select empty from Deleted folder

Downloading attachments on Mail app is terribly slower vs even my lowest end Android. One still need a separate app to send attachments thro Mail.

I had purchased Sandisk iXpand 64GB drive to act as external USB OTG drive but is overall a disappointing experience - file transfer speeds is so terribly slow vs Android. And the Sandisk drive isn't cheap either - last year I paid nearly RM300 for the 64GB unit. All copied files goes to a single My Downloads folder on phone and you cannot placed your files on any folder of your choice

The iPhone is overall a very good efficient phone other than these file management issues. Such files management is easily done on any Android and on the phone itself. I could easily create any folders on phone internal memory or ext SDCard and move files easily within phone itself. No need to connect the iPhone with PC to do such simple tasks
*
Yup. The lack of system wide file manager is the weakest link. If they open that up...it will be a closer contest between both OS. Basically it cannot completely replace a computer for basic usage ..e.g. transferring files among devices without going to cloud.

Having said that, I'm in completely opposite position as you....I just bought an iPhone 5S. doh.gif Never had an iPhone before. Not yet arrive. Lets see how it goes.

disagree.

only nerds love file management.

cubone is a busy person with a life and only interested in the content of the file and not spend nerdy moments organizing it.

I just got my ip7+ 256gb. Even though my preference is always on Android I still use an iPhone as a secondary phone. I am not a diehard Android user as said by some users here. A diehard will not even wish to buy an iPhone or even Windows phone
Which phone OS is more suitable depends on your needs
It is simply sad that some iPhone users refused to accept those IOS weaknesses. Even Android had its own range of weaknesses too.

Use itunes to transfer any media files to your assigned media app. Only that assigned app can read your media file. Assign again if you wished to use other media app.
This means 2 same files on phone
You can use an external USB flash drive eg SanDisk i-xpand to copy media files over to phone. These files will be all in a My Downloads folder. Launch the i-xpand app to view and run these files. You cannot copy these files to another folder of your choice.

That part is true it put everything together but not really impact to me. So no worried. smile.gif

I use iOS since it first launched the Apple iPod Touch. Pretty familiar with it witnesses, just give and take, it is consider a small troublesome, I don't think it will be change as this is Apple design so long ago, if change a lot need to change. Apple not give a full files management as it can't because everything will look extreme messy if file management inside a phone due to everything is put together.

Note 7 just like a sexy lady that u hardly resist eventhough u understand the risk to get close with the gorgeous pretties.

Human being natural ......
Haha, i personally no more bringing out note 7 as i don wan bring panic to public and get accused for not responsible person.

But during at home, i just cannot stop myself to power on the device as i know few more days i have to break off with her..

What you did is the most correct. Don't open at public. At home is your own choice and responsibilities.

My learnings upon getting i7+ get bigger storage, preferably 128gb. expecting smooth experience? no. it does stutters. and even lag at times. so if I were you, I would opted for S7E.

the whole n7 fiasco, for me i choose to view it as half-full instead of half-empty.

the positives i gain out of the whole things outweighs the -ves

- the pre-order freebies and the 2 free sets of accessories, i would estimate easily rm500

- the chance to use 1 of the best phones ever (if not the best) for potentially up to 4 months basically for free. no depreciation smile.gif

- the chance to use this gorgeous phone fully naked, to use it like it was built. without worrying about scratches, hairlines etc. smile.gif

- root without abandonment!

- for me, a change in mindset regarding battery dangers. previously was very sloppy...frequent charging overnight, sometimes sleep with phone just beside etc. after this will probably be much more careful no matter which phone i upgrade to.

so if u get stressed out by all the negativitiy being spread around by trolls, hate mongers or "concerned non-users" whether in the forums, fb or even in real life...just try to appreciate the positives. biggrin.gif

Went and play with i7 and i7+.
Had experience with i4s i5s i6
Here's what i think of both new i7:
Price - fail
Camera - fail. same as 6s cant see the diff
New home touch - fail, confusing to use 6s better
Size - fail but can telan

What youre getting?
Ios and fruit logo.

Most dissapointing part: Image quality from camera. Seriously how can anyone praise this? P9 can tibai this thing kau kau..

On a side note though, that jet black trumps the matte black. Can see why its highly sought.
