so sad when i saw this article..

"That's why today we're withdrawing our recommendation to buy the Galaxy Note 7, adding a disclaimer to our review to reflect this. We're also retracting our Choice Award, and will be removing it from our Smartphone Buyer's Guide over the coming days. As it stands, you should not buy this phone."

i love my n7 alot and enjoy every moment using it.. but seems like the danger of n7 forces the world to go against it...

Anyone receive email from Samsung regarding the free 1 year screen crack warranty?

Well, after 5 explosions on replaced devices, Samsung decides to stop production on Note 7, temporary.

QUOTE
According to South Korean new agency Yonhap, Samsung has temporarily suspended production of Galaxy Note 7s. In the last week, at least three replacement Note 7s have reportedly caught fire, leading AT&T and T-Mobile to suspend their replacement programs for the phone.

I guess we'll probably be seeing the Note 7s on their "good old days" launch date?

I think you guys better keep the Note 7. It will be sought after collectors item fetching ten thousands of USD. It will be better if it is in sealed condition.

Same here. I really like Note7. No other phone can beat Note7 design and features. If Samsung Malaysia really recall, i will opt for refund and use old S2 first. Then wait next year Note 8 launch. This year's other brand flagship just very boring and couldn't compete with Note7.

agreed. note7 didn't get best android phone (currently) for nothing... it deserved it because it's that good.

that's why when i started to think abt what phone to get if there's a recall/ refund... i cannot think of sth that really matches the note7. and like some here... i might just go back to my old phone and then wait for the next Note.

but i really do hope they can the curved edges. watch movies pun not so fun coz cropped at top and bottom (when viewing in landscape). then smart select... if i need to select the edges... my goodness... so difficult and i ended up using finger instead.

if really refund... i hope this time Samsung MY be more generous and let us keep all freebies. like what TMo announced for their customers -- can keep the Gear Fit, etc... and even get cash voucher or sth...

Will definitely opt for refund this time if Samsung do recall.

However, not going back to my old phone...the screen size is a big turn down sleep.gif

There are probably a few worthy devices that are more capable than Note 7 but it sounds like you need the S-Pen more than anything else.

Do consider Google's Pixel, S7E or maybe LG V20.

really enjoy using the note7, best phone i ever used. pity it has to come to this. well, i don't mind another recall or even refund if that's the way things develop into. but can't think of a satisfactory replacement. maybe lgv20 is the next closest thing but no spen is a big drawback for me.

If I were you, wait until note 9 (if they can still make it that far).
Won't dare to recommend my customers after the irresponsible actions taken recently.
And don't hope of additional benefits for being loyal.
Big corp don't work that way.
Better spend on marketing.

i still have faith in Samsung. i think this is a good lesson for them. anyway, note8... will be like one year away...

wishful thinking:
Samsung let us use a s7 (refurbished or otherwise). and when note8 arrives, we get it after we return the s7.

that way, they dun lose 2016 note7 sales. telco also dun have to cancel plans, etc... and note fans will... get note8 next year. and in the meantime, no headache about what phone to use.

my main consideration is budget. originally nothing more than rm1.6k. but eventually, relented and topped up abit.. i got the note7 via telco at rm2.1k.

the other phones... unlikely to see in Malaysia officially... and via Telco. so... that's where i am kinda screwed.
