QUOTE(herojack41 @ Oct 10 2016, 12:58 AM) it is from the battery the reason being said on this video is the battery itself have some impurities well...im not a engineer either. but this youtuber have clearly explain it might be the battery as all those fail safe looks intact in this case by analyzing the picture by him Ya. That was for the recalled units. But now the replacement units (which Samsung claimed that they have changed the battery manufacturer) also caught fire, that's why some people started to doubt about the real root cause. Well, let see what will CPSC and Samsung say after their investigation, which we don't how long it will gonna take.... This post has been edited by Max2006: Oct 10 2016, 01:05 AM

AT&T and T-Mobile in US have stopped sales of Note 7 and also the replacement unit.
AT&T decision to suspend sales and replacement unit will have a major impact as they are the largest US telco.

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Oct 10 2016, 12:09 AM) iphone 7 plus with 128gb of storage? maybe? well....the "blueprint" have already been finalize. Changing to smaller battery or other model of battery would probably break some LAW. my usage pattern... OS not suitable for iPhone7plus. but otherwise, on paper, specs seems impressive. as for breaking law... if they allow ppl to claim full refund (if they do go put smaller battery), then i don't think they considered as broke law since they are now allowing ppl to claim full refund. but well, hypothetical anyway.. let's see what happens over the next few days.

QUOTE(Cubone @ Oct 10 2016, 08:11 AM) T-Mobile is second US carrier to halt Galaxy Note 7 sales, giving $25 credit to affected customershttp://www.theverge.com/2016/10/9/13220816...top-sale-recalli love this bit: QUOTE Customers can still bring their recalled Note7 or the new replacement Note7, along with accessories they purchased from T-Mobile, to a T-Mobile store for a full refund and choose from any device in T-Mobile’s inventory. We’ll waive any restocking charges, and customers who purchased during pre-order can keep the free Netflix subscription and Gear Fit or SD card they received. might also wanna check this out: Samsung says it's 'working diligently' as fifth replacement Note 7 burnshttp://www.theverge.com/2016/10/9/13219878...fifth-statementmore a joke... i guess there won't be a 6th case... and suddenly, it'll just be 7th... off topic...
from what i understand... this is a thread on a public forum. does not say it's an exclusive club/ group.
anyone is more than welcomed. but one is a non-owner and wanna share some news, please... go check out the last few pages so you're not posting something that was already posted like 5-6 times. that is what some of the more passionate members are upset about. partly coz it's repeat news... and the other bit being their resale value gets hurt.

QUOTE(Cubone @ Oct 10 2016, 08:43 AM) Quite obvious. In order to provide same smoothness like apple, need high speed processor, which needs high power battery. Add non-removable Add quad HD BUT want to maintain slim, so squeeze big battery into small size. Disaster happen. Limit of engineering reached. Add complete seal for Ingress Protection

In the US, some carrier already allow N7 user to exchange to another brand.

I hope Samsung take a lesson from these issues and stop pushing unnecessary features like slimmy design with big battery just to make it look cool. I dont mind thick phone as long it is reliable and safe. Samsung just trying too hard with it innovation. As the result, it just turn half baked.

It's a mod. Someone made it and added it into the game. Changed the grenade texture skin to the Note 7

Throw outside, other car smash it flat, Samsung denies your phone burned first then smashed flat. Better put in metal case and a pair of extra thick oven gloves, retain the evidence.
