Old story.

But if the story about plane one is real and not because somebody want to jeopardized Samsung, Note 7 will be banned from the face of this earth.

I already said in previous thread that Samsung is rushing with the replacement. How you fix, replace and test millions of device within 2 months? Quality will suffer.

dont think so. RM2699 SRP for the XZ 64GB is arguably competitive among the other flagships in MY, and that is if you dont count Q1-2 flagships.

anyway, i sold off my Note 7 to a friend. it's been a joy of 2 weeks prior replacement.

Benny don't like Sony phone. He like Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra which is also insanely expensive for the spec but Benny
bought it also. So please forgive Benny if he say wrong thing. laugh.gif

Samsung knew a third replacement Note 7 caught fire on Tuesday and said nothing

SOS

QUOTE
Another replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has caught fire, bringing the total to three this week alone. This one was owned by Michael Klering of Nicholasville, Kentucky. He told WKYT that he woke up at 4AM to find his bedroom filled with smoke and his phone on fire. Later in the day, he went to the hospital with acute bronchitis caused by smoke inhalation.

"The phone is supposed to be the replacement, so you would have thought it would be safe," Klering told WKYT, saying that he had owned the replacement phone for a little more than a week. "It wasn’t plugged in. It wasn’t anything, it was just sitting there."

The most disturbing part of this is that Klering’s phone caught fire on Tuesday and Samsung knew about it and didn’t say anything. And actually, it gets worse than that.

Samsung asked Klering if they could take possession of the phone and he said no, though the company did pay to have it x-rayed — but the damning evidence comes in the form of a text message that Klering inadvertently received from a Samsung representative:

Just now got this. I can try and slow him down if we think it will matter, or we just let him do what he keeps threatening to do and see if he does it
Samsung was aware that its replacement phones were catching fire five days ago. Another caught fire on Thursday (on an airplane), and then another on Friday in the hands of a thirteen-year old girl. That’s three in less than a week, with Samsung giving its customers little more than meaningless platitudes about "[taking] every report seriously" and that "customer safety remains our highest priority as we are investigating the matter."

Except that’s a lie. If customer safety was really the highest priority, we would have seen statements from Samsung telling customers to stop using even their replacement phones after the fire on the Southwest flight on Thursday.

At this point, it’s irresponsible for us to say anything else: If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 you should immediately stop using it and return it for a refund — all the major US carriers will exchange the phone, regardless of purchase date. We don’t know why Samsung hasn’t been more forthcoming about what’s going on with these replacement devices, but it doesn’t really matter. Until we get more information, the simplest explanation is the best one: The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is a fundamentally defective product and it should be pulled from the market without delay.

I think you guys better keep the Note 7. It will be sought after collectors item fetching ten thousands of USD. It will be better if it is in sealed condition.

To say that fan boy is not as aggresive as other brands i bet to different. Probably user base is low to make their sound heard. But it cant be compared to samsung. I still remember that are there people who choose to pick devices so long its not samsung just to prove a statement but cant deny the fact samsung have their own prime features.
*
Samsung fanboy is very aggressive one. Some stop people from posting in this thread. Some even invoke religion by praying for Samsung. You don't get such fanboy even in Apple.

Samsung is godlike already.

Apple users don't have a fanboy? Hahaha. Good joke.
Let me give an example, the announcement of the first Apple Watch. Look for a video and you will see how much fanboy Apple users are.
*
You need to take English class if you don't understand. I said Apple fanboy have not reached the fanboyism in Samsung fanboy.

Samsung will ask all global partners to stop sales and exchanges of Galaxy Note7 while further investigation takes place
on October 11, 2016
SHAREPrint
We are working with relevant regulatory bodies to investigate the recently reported cases involving the Galaxy Note7. Because consumers’ safety remains our top priority, Samsung will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7 while the investigation is taking place.

We remain committed to working diligently with appropriate regulatory authorities to take all necessary steps to resolve the situation. Consumers with either an original Galaxy Note7 or replacement Galaxy Note7 device should power down and stop using the device and take advantage of the remedies available.

There isn't any notice on refunding the phone for now. What about users that have purchased their official accessories such as cases and other things? It would cause the owners to be passed if this ever happens.

I still love this phone after upgrading from note Edge to the Note 7. Phone rarely heats up at all. Sad to hear such sad news early in the morning.
*
The message above is from the mother company in Korea. It will trickle down to Malaysia SME later today or probably next few days.

I believe there will be compensation over accessories but you can't expect Samsung to pay you RM400. Probably they will just give you RM100 or probably RM300 voucher to buy Samsung stuff.

So sad. Damn.  Best phone ever I must say.
Guess have to get lg lv20. Anyone bought lg lv20? Not ap of course.

If you go LG thread, all LG phone have bootloop problem since like forever. They have this motherboard problem in V10 and G5. Later you need to go Service Center all the time. You like trouble?

Best now to substitute Note 7 is iPhone 7.

purchasing of accessories is owners decisions. these are not required for use of the phone.

so technically, Samsung can say that's your problem.

but if they really want to score some quick wins.. they should compensate owners in some ways... in USA, partners are offering credits to compensate.
*
Imagine each customer bought RM1000 worth of accessories. How to compensate right?

Accessories seller will take this opportunity to buy 1 Note 7 and then return it with accessories that he sold which could amount to RM15,000. So I believe if Samsung compensate accessories also will be RM100 with receipt or accessories returned.

Cause my sis LG g4 is working fine.
Guess lg lv20 or telco with i7p.
*
Of course iphone 7 plus. At least you can resold iPhone 7 Plus at high price when you buy Note 8. Nobody in their right mind will buy V20 now to replace Note 7.

So I must be one of unsound mine to consider buying V20 as an alternative to Note7
It is one choice what one wishes to buy
Anyway my ip7+ 128gb is coming in mid Oct and I am very sure it wont be my daily driver
I had never understand the craze over the iphone and I had bought and tested since first model till ip6s+ except ip5s. I continue to buy the ip series merely to keep up with IOS tech.
*
Well, you are special. You don't really care about resell value etc. So you can buy whatever you want.

As for iPhone, well it is smooth and more apps. And got iTunes. That is for me la.

There is not a huge different if you don't root your Android. In fact, it will perform better, better optimized UI and apps, better battery performance etc. There is a reason why Apple sell a lot of iPhone.

I believe there is only 2 reasons, either touchscreen problem or motorboard problems..

For iPhone, CONFIRM don't use "clone" adapter one..
Coz last time my friend use "clone" adapter, cause electric shock circuit.. The whole houses no electric and main switch jump up (autoshut down)... shakehead.gif

And the adapter charger (white plastic) slightly melt with plastic smell.... shocking.gif
*
What motorboard? You think Motorboat ar? LOL...

Anyway, some phone are badly design or have low quality touchscreen. Nothing to do with adapter. Good phone won't be like that.

I guess Note 8 will be double the sales of Note 5 since Note 7 got killed off. I might be interest in Note 8 if got 6GB RAM or more.
