I think people misuse the word "overheat" For sure your device will heat up when using but that doesn't mean your device overheat It could be heat up until certain degree, and that's the normal heat your device produce "Overheat" should only be used when your device produce abnormal heat and high temperature until it is too hot to touch
Please people, PLEASE stop using the word "overheat" just because you feel some warm temperature on your device

QUOTE(babykids @ Oct 7 2016, 04:41 PM) got feeling it is not the battery problem. Something wrong with the board design or hardware that control the battery. Quickcharge and increasing the battery density, sound like a bad idea now. Quickcharge do damage the battery too. Prefer smaller battery, more power efficiency. you get better battery life, smaller or lighter phone, charging speed fast. That is the right way. Agree. Could be something wrong with the motherboard. Many owners faced random bootloop, freeze before in the first batch pre-recalled N7.

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Oct 7 2016, 05:42 PM) Lab test shows how Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explodes Singapore laboratory applies pressure to fully charged Samsung phone, causing it to smoke and then burn http://gulfnews.com/business/sectors/techn...lodes-1.1908390That is lab test with machinery pressure. Different with tight jeans pressure This post has been edited by brandon8921: Oct 7 2016, 05:49 PM

QUOTE(link87 @ Oct 10 2016, 10:12 AM) I surely opt for refund if recall again. But its hard to find flagship with good battery life. Really like n7 Same here. I really like Note7. No other phone can beat Note7 design and features. If Samsung Malaysia really recall, i will opt for refund and use old S2 first. Then wait next year Note 8 launch. This year's other brand flagship just very boring and couldn't compete with Note7.

QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Oct 10 2016, 10:31 AM) Don't blame them, this is forum, it happens, all the time. There are probably a few worthy devices that are more capable than Note 7 but it sounds like you need the S-Pen more than anything else. Do consider Google's Pixel, S7E or maybe LG V20. I come from S7edge to Note7. Really there is not much flagship that can match Note7. Google Pixel is ugly af. LG V20 design also so so only. Note7 the best really. Or maybe will jump ship to the fruit world...... Just saying This post has been edited by brandon8921: Oct 10 2016, 10:36 AM

QUOTE(RicoT @ Oct 10 2016, 11:03 AM) So if Samsung is going to kill Note7, we may expect either refund campaign or get a free exchange to S8 or Note8 with S7 Edge as interim phone. I doubt there will be refund campaign in Malaysia. I don't have faith in Malaysia in handling monetary things like refund or whatsoever. It will be a lot of fuss and hassle to the customers. There "lowyat" case will happen again because of some fussy, impatient and arrogant customers.

QUOTE(RicoT @ Oct 10 2016, 11:10 AM) The money to refund will come from Korea, just... How to process the refund is another matter, there are telcos plan as well. I won't pay the difference, the risk and inconvenience caused is already worth whatever difference between the price, in fact, I expect S Gear or 360° cam as compensation too. Ya i know the money will come from the boss of Samsung. But the process in handling the refund in Malaysia..... Sure a lot of hassle and people will take this opportunity to ask for compensate again. You know la Malaysian mentality. Just look at the replacement program last few weeks....

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Oct 10 2016, 11:22 AM) Let say if Samsung let the Note 7 owners to replace their phones with S7/S7 edge, I wonder whether there is enough amount of S7/S7 edge to be given out at such a short period. If not enough, rushing the product line again? I just came from S7edge only......... Arrghh have to struggle looking for new phone again.

QUOTE(keny1st @ Oct 10 2016, 11:46 AM) Yes. People surround me also like that. But what can it be? That's the fact. Hope for the best coming. If want wait for next note series, it's such a very long time to wait.. Third quarter of 2017. Now is just 2016. My parent, which don't have any knowledge about these tech stuff saw facebook people keep posting about the explode/burning Note7, keep ask me to go for refund immediately. They don't want to see Note 7 in the house. So sad man.... Even old people without tech knowledge also anti Samsung product d.....

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Oct 10 2016, 12:13 PM) It's because Xiaomi explosion only happened inside China mainland. As long as it happened inside China, it would be covered up easily (you know why). On the other hand, Samsung is a super famous brand around the world. And Note 7 users are everywhere around the world (for most part). We should not put Samsung and Xiaomi on the same level when it comes to explosion cases. XiaoMi is a dirt cheap copy cat no quality company that doesn't have its own idea. People have what, they sure will come out what with 1/3 of the price. Look at their design, UI, branding. Even their laptop with the name MiBook air?

QUOTE(kding2 @ Oct 10 2016, 12:38 PM) Ya lo. By the time it got launched it should be at next year and note 8 should be about to revealed. Sad. I don't think Note 7 will ever make an official touchdown in Malaysia (except for Pre-orders).

QUOTE(cocoanut @ Oct 10 2016, 01:05 PM) don't think they'll still be relaunching it. will be really silly. no carriers selling + consumer confidence low, no amount of marketing can change that. will be terrible investment if they do the only way to salvage anything is full refund + a really problem free unit. Even then... people might still refuse it. I think even if Samsung exchange a new problem free Note7 + insurance + extra freebies, most of the people will refuse to accept Note7 already.... Samsung reputation just gone like that after years of owning the king of smartphone branding.
