Check the MCC as well. The merchant may use different MCC including Government especially Government-funded institutions.

I plan to cancel FCB & apply grab card. Is it possible to transfer installement in FCB into Grab?

I just made an online insurance payment with my barcelona card. Only then i noticed that amount is actually more than my credit limit. I immediately make some payment to bring down the outstanding balance under my credit limit. All that happens within half an hour. Will that temporary exceed credit limit incident attract any penalty or interest?

Never heard that Maybank got impose fee for over credit limit usage.
Should be fine.

Done it once, years ago. But cant assume anyway. Call and request would be ideal.

For Maybank this is accepted which they giving you buffer on top your credit limit.
I have overspent more than my credit limit before, nothing will happen.

AF is considered as up front payment, so you may still cancel without paying the AF provided that you did not use after it is posted. Having said that, if you already intend to cancel, just cancel few days beforehand then.
