sometimes they will block some odd transactions charged overseas.
i still rmb when i go vietnam few years ago, the crooked vietnam hotel receptionist use my cc info illegally i suppose and charge something in Russia.
the bank (should be Ambank) try to call me but can't get through since i'm overseas.
they make the decision to permanent block the card immediately.
only realised this issue when i receive sms that the card had been blocked.
good job for them.

but for maybank, sometimes not so lucky.
they let multiple trasactions in my friends cc to get through.

the scammer charge us$1 first, when it get through, they try us$10 and us$50.
and keep charging us$50 multiples times..
my friendly only realised when he is back in malaysia

Hi, just wondering if I should accept this card since I suddenly received an approved MBB VS card for no reason (never applied nor give my details to anyone). It even appeared on my MB2U under my card list although its just waiting for me to 'activate' it.

Weird thing is, the card has HALF the credit limit of my gold cards ?_?. I did a quick read on the 'benefits' and other than an utterly ridiculous RM550 annual fee I dont see anything worthwhile to activate... sleep.gif; Perhaps other LYN members have a better understanding on this?

VS shares CL with your other conventional cards, so it's impossible to be given with separate limit. Unless it's from Islamic entity.

VS card mainly for petrol and grocery 5% rebate on all day, so if you looking for those spending, you can then active and use it, cancel before anniversary.

Otherwise, just call to cancel even though no active, I don’t think is good idea if you keep it inactive without cancel

Theoretically should get, because the 2% is on all transactions, including payments to government agencies (but not via jompay).

I don't think there would be anyone who would be able to give you a definite answer yet. Ppl only started filing their tax returns and making payments this month, so the earliest they would know would be next month.

Unless, there are ppl who already started making income tax payments in February using FCB to maximize CB (which should be very low chance).

Maybe you can try paying a small amount first, see that you get CB, then make full payment next month.

Why would you pay income tax with 2% when they charge 2% upfront? No gain right?

There are some tax-payers (those filing Borang B by 30/6/18) who need to pay their tax by 30/11/18 (05/2017), 30/1/18 (06/2017), 30/3/18 (01/2018).

Re-applied Visa Signature after cancelling it more than 6 months ago to avoid AF charges. Applied via m2u early morning Monday this week, approved yesterday and card delivered today at 3 pm.
Only had to submit IC photocopy and EPF statement. No other documents.
Bloody efficient.
