now just playing around, cant seem to find where to add the card.

anybody can teach me?

right now go to Wallet, press " + " button but no option to add card.

I think we need to wait for Apple to send iOS update. If our Apple Pay service has been activated, then the + sign will appear in the Wallet app.
So right now, it still disabled though. We have just to wait for announcement of this service. smile.gif

Looks like internally at Apple the page for Malaysia bank cards has already been prepared, if I had to wager a guess, it'll probably be allowed access to at start of August. And for the ambank one, it's probably the same, /applepay brings you to nowhere but it should already be in their webserver main directory.

And for adding cards, it's probably gonna be just Apple Wallet phoning home and enabling the function for it (Probably just one line of code, maybe the AP JSON file @PoisonSoul pointed to). I doubt there's gonna be a full OS update to just enable one singular function. I'm currently on iOS 16 Public Beta 1 for my XS and watchOS 9 Public Beta for my S6, I'd be surprised if they push another beta version out for the MY market just to enable Apple Pay for Malaysian cards, but let's see.

Really glad this AP have some updates in Malaysia, it would benefit a lot of Apple users in Malaysia (although compared to ewallets where they sometimes provide rewards), i think AP wins in terms of practicality (like SamsungPay).

Glad to finally see some updates. I have just tried to add my HSBC card to Apple Pay but rejected as issuer does not support it yet XD
I have used SamsungPay a long time ago and have been using Apple Pay in SG ,looking forward to finally see it seriously entering MY. The accelerated adoption of QR based payment seriously slowed down the adoption of AP imo

For those concerned about transaction limits, it’s likely the same limit with paywave limit. Currently if the transaction cost exceeds rm250 they’ll just ask for PIN number.

Many times the shop staffs told me not to wave when the transaction exceeds rm250, I usually had to educate them on this and prove them wrong 5 seconds later

Unless if the bank have a separate standard when it comes to processing Apple Pay payments, it can be treated exactly the same like paywave

Then again I don’t work in FI

been using duitnow QR so often now, but still good to have AP when the line suck.

Approved already. So they are now out of the picture.

They will keep monitoring but once approved, Apple Pay service is readily available to all Banks.

There's gonna be 3, nokia2003 pointed that. One of them is quite obvious, other two not explicitly mentioned, but another post made by adiyon84 speculated being "I bet it must be Tiger, Octopus and Octagon banks". So make of that what you will..? Just have to wait until August to see which of them is gonna announce it first, might be red bank but then again, other banks might have took note of it and might get ahead of launching before they do for obvious reasons.
