Believe me, I tried adding Wise physical card (green colour) & Wise virtual card (blue colour like shown above) into Apple Pay. It’s a Malaysian account and Malaysian issued cards; I couldn’t add it to Apple Pay (even if the region is set to SG in settings). It’s likely fake or the owner had originally registered as a non Malaysian account with non Malaysian issued card then converted to a Malaysian account but didn’t remove the card details from their iCloud account.

To keep it short, the last four digits on the Apple Watch is 6612 while on the Public Bank receipt is 1903. So it’s safe to say it’s fake.

When Apple Pay launched,
it's good for us to reduce cards in our wallet.

BTW, can Apple Pay to be used for shopping mall car park? Like MidValley, The Garden?
If not, we still have to bring our card 

Just update us if fail to materialize pls. Otherwise, we will be riding on false hopes and dreams.

I went to Subang Parade recently and they have a notice @ their car park entrance there they say do not use Smartphone or Smart Watch to pay for their parking as it's not compatible. Hmmmm. Their "terminal" is the usual blue visa coloured one.

This is true, i’ve been using apple pay extensively since last December. Apple pay will work as long as the terminal has the ‘wave’ capability. Only a few merchants refuse to accept apple pay even though their terminals support it.

I know you guys here are anxious about apple pay i can feel it from the way you write and ask questions, some had even PMed me 🤣. But rest assured the launch is imminent.

Here in JB some merchants would just freak out when I say I’m using PayWave but I pull out my phone as they expect me to use eWallet QR, but in KL every merchant I go to is like, yeah sure. There really is more that needs to be done to educate people about using contactless without physical card.

this is more like a internal test SMS but mistakenly sent to production customer  someone in Ambank might have got screwed up now

At 0.15% it is very low indeed. Standard credit card fees that merchants pay for already is at 1% and other ewallets charge a fee of 1% as well. MyDebit is lower at <1% and other forms like AMEX is >1%

Quick update guys, I can say with reasonable certainty that the Apple Pay will be launched in Malaysia in less than two weeks' time.
