I saw the prices on Agoda etc exceptionally high for periods during CNY. Almost double. I was wondering if it is the same strategy applied by many hotels where if they cant sell the rooms, later on they will revert back to the normal price again. Or I could be wrong where hotel rooms are crazily expensive during CNY. sweat.gif

To book tickets for attractions around HK, do you book days in advance through Klook app or could you book on the day itself you are visiting the attraction?

Depends on what attraction. Bought of the cruise ticket last minute on Klook as I missed the first session (made a mistake on the date and missed it). Bought immediately in the evening, but i can't recall whether we went for it right after that or next day.

It's also dependent on availability by the way. It's likely there's a limit to the spot/ number of tickets, so based on first come first served.

Yeah. I dont want them to happen too. If we were to buy in advance, any change of plans or delays could make the bought ticket unusable. That is why Im asking if we could purchase the ticket on the same day we are going for that attraction? I went before and the queue to buy tickets were very long, especially during the holidays. So thought of buying through the app instead of queing. But then again, if everybody were to do the same then....

What attractions that you're planning to visit? Usually if you bought these tickets, priority is to get there loll. So the rest of the free and easy/ shopping may have to reduce/ shorten to make way for pre-purchased tickets.

Ngong ping, advisable book the cheaper after 2:30pm slot because no more que by 2:30pm. Morning qie is very long even u are using klook because u need to join the long que to the cable car after getting the ticket. On the way down, try go back early b4 5om because both klook & normal ticket holders will be joining the wue going down b4 last service at 6:30pm or wait till 6:30pm kua..

For peak, sat/sun even wth klook also long long que atleast 15-30min. Well better than non express klook queing for 1.5hrs min.

You can get the 3-in-1 combo where there's Madame Tussauds, tram ride and Sky Terrace entrance. This one will require you to buy specific session/ time.

For Ngong Ping and Ocean Park, you just need to buy specific date. You need to confirm your itinerary then at least can buy the ones that require specific date only.

But if we were to go at 2:30 pm slot, would there be enough time to wander around? Or there is not much to do there?

Ok.. Will book the tickets for the Peak in advance. What time do you reckon is the best time to go to the peak?

It's all in Victoria Peak. You'll need to ride the tram to get to Victoria Peak. It's also where the Wax Museum is... and after you get there, you can check out the HK night view at Sky Terrace.

For peak, as early as possible. Probably b4 9am

Normally it will be very expensive during CNY as a lot of Chinese tourist coming to HK. On the other side a lot of Hongkies will take this chance to travel abroad. Not only HK, but in anywhere around the world, if its peak period, the earlier you book the better. The same as well for air ticket. Of course there is a very very small chance you might get a room, but i very much doubt so.
