MAS will cost you between RM800-RM1k+; not sure about other airline.

MAS Sale will give you a good price. Bought mine for RM542 return flight via MAS, but that was in middle of September. It was summer and non-peak period.

Yea was trying to scout some other airlines. So far I've only bought from Air Asia for all the trips I've been. So was wondering was there any cheaper alternatives other than Air Asia

Normally it will be very expensive during CNY as a lot of Chinese tourist coming to HK. On the other side a lot of Hongkies will take this chance to travel abroad. Not only HK, but in anywhere around the world, if its peak period, the earlier you book the better. The same as well for air ticket. Of course there is a very very small chance you might get a room, but i very much doubt so.

for ngong ping. naik cable car, down take bus to see the scenic route. would prefer that way.

I got MAS tix for super peak CNY period at around Rm670.  That was during a promo.

Lucky purchase! I'll... never return on a summer again. Everyday melt under the hot sun

It's good to keep an eye on MAS because they do have promo on and off.

But it varies on promotion. like i remember few months ago in June, the cheapest i found was Cathay Pacific. Its only RM500+ include everything.

like the promotion from cathay pacific, i also saw it from their facebook ads. and i bought it instantly.

I flew MAS, AA and Cathay to HK. I think MAS around 1k.. AA around 800++ and Cathay around 1.2k.. but varies could be due too different month of the year and different promo..

Maybe can check AA. Bought my tics last month rm1.2k for 3 person return. Going this early Feb.
