You can check Klook. Or the site at my Sig. They have for HK as well. Klook usually you'll have to pickup at HKG airport. Hello1010 they will courier to you but you must order at least 1 week in advance.

Thank you for your reply, i think i might get it at the airport. I need them to top up the data as 1.5GB not enough. lol.

Hi guys, i need a data sim card so can access internet all the time there using my spare phone as modem. This to avoid expensive roaming charges because im using 3 active phones.

So, i heard we can get it at the airport, but i dont know how much the price and what are the data like.

Can recommend me which telco are reliable there and the price. Will be there for 5 days.

last time i got my sim card at airport at around HKD80.

Noted. Will be only in Hong Kong. Just need unlimited data with 3G or 4G.

Saw the details in Klook that for unlimited data the coverage is 3G where as 1.5GB data is 4G.

Not sure how fast 3G is there but i check Hong Kong has the 3rd fastest internet speed in the world so i reckon 3G is sufficient?

Need fast connection to do video streaming, FB live, Skype calls, Insta live, WhatsApp etc.

I got a 4G sim from Klook for my trip last month, connection was really smooth, super happy LOL
not sure how fast is 3G there (can't judge since ive never used it) but seems like you'll be doing quite a lot including vid streaming & skype - if you don't wanna risk i would highly recommend the 4G one. You can consider getting a pocket wifi too

Currently in HK, just grab this cmhk sim from any 7-11. Dirt cheap at HK$48. Sufficient for 5 days. The cashier assisted me ti activate the card as well applying for unlimited data till 1/1/2018 eventhough pic showing 1.5gb only & 5 days. I was told this is a special promo

Cold. I brought only a normal jacket and the temp was 14 deg and windy.

Went to the Peak last Wednesday and temp up there was 10 deg and bloody windy.

If you can't stand cold, bring winter jacket.

Locals and tourist here all wear winter jacket.

Had to buy one myself a winter jacket.

Morning temp was like 12 to 14 deg.

Bought the ticket via Klook but still have to que up to get the real ticket at the counter. Que took up almost 35 mins (Wednesday).

Took taxi to Peak Tram Station.

Once got the ticket, get on the tram to the peak. If u want to go to Sky Terrace you have to purchase together with the tram ticket.

Not sure until when the weather.

Took me almost an hour to get to the Peak via the tram. Queued another 30 mins to get down. All in all 2 1/2 hours spent there.

huh you sure u queue at counter? when i bought from Klook, all the tickets already distributed at the meet up location. When we arrived, we just take the express lane and queue to go in the tram (this is the only queue).

For the past week... HK now have the best weather..

Morning around 10 degree Celsius...

Afternoon around 14-15 degree Celsius

Night drop back to 10 degree Celsius..

At time, it can be very cold...due to the North wind blowing... but all in all... it's a lovely weather now in HK...

Indeed, seems like this year the temp is higher than last year based on the same period.

But even so... I'm sure it's better than being there in Summer laugh.gif melted in the heat last Sept - figuratively speaking haha.

Hi guys, icon_rolleyes.gif

Rejoining back HK thread after V3 closed. Never join V4 cos never thought will go again there.

My family will visit HK again on mid March (during school holiday). Tickets and hotel all paid. Anyway this will be my 3rd trip to HK and 2nd trip for my family.

As usual, for any trip to overseas, I never prepare any itinerary except for something important, like Disneyland, which I still thinking want to buy 1 day or 2 days ticket.

During last trip on 2012, my family missed the fireworks show at Disneyland because we need to go back earlier to hotel (my wife waiting alone at hotel, she not feeling well that day)

Too bad, my family will missed the firework again on next trip because what I read at Disneyland webpage, 'Hong Kong Disneyland will kick off the castle’s transformation following the finale of the “Disney in the Stars” Fireworks on January 1, 2018.' doh.gif
