are all coffeeshops in HK always crowded and congested?

and must sit next to strangers?

Generally have to share table during peak hours depending on the shop specialty, can be morning breakfast or afternoon lunch or tea breaks / dessert or dinner. Or if the shop is full of tourist all the time.

If go during off-hours, possible to have whole table to yourself.
Off hours breakfast 9:30am-11:30am
Off hours lunch 2pm or 2:30pm onwards

My most recent trip last month trying something else on top of some regular ones I always go
Kwan Kee Claypot Rice 坤記煲仔小菜 near Sai Ying Pun MTR
Start queue at 5pm for dinner, open at 5;30pm, done by 7pm+ but look at the queue.

Subject to different individual taste. The rice is well cooked and at the end, there is some hardened rice but still slightly soft and not charred black like we have here, which is hard as rock and taste bitter. Taste wise is not as strong salty/sweet so you can taste the ingredients. In the picture is frog legs (theen kai) rather than chicken, since we don't have that option in KL.

Although it is same claypot style, the way the rice is cooked is different between HK and MY style, so the HK rice is slightly more drier and harder to chew compare to our wet/soft/sticky.

I think there are some other touristy claypot rice near Shanghai street near Mongkok/YMT/Jordan area there also ? Forgot exact but is around there.

just came back few days ago and the weather still warm even at 23c. wore tshirts + shorts for whole trip. the weather only started to be colder yesterday

try to avoid famous coffeeshops during weekend as the queue is longer but in and out quite fast. only the dim sum at city hall took 2 hours for waiting time during weekend so avoid dim sum on weekend

as we went in group of 6, only 1 or 2 occasions where we have to share tables coz some tables can sit up to 8 pax

also went to shenzhen for a day trip and the immigration counter took about 5 minutes to clear 1 person for non-citizen even though the queue wasn't that long. it could be a new system for newly announced visa free for some countries?

Done a 5 days trip to HK. Nice cold weather 10-15C

Our TouchNGo/Alipay is useless in HK. Outlets there only accept AlipayHK. It is not totally cashless economy, like Aussie or SG. Still many mom & pop F&B outlets accept cash but not Visa. Street markets all cash sahaja.

MTR tickets also cash.

Quite disappointed in this respect.

Pricing wise, everything super mahal after convert to MYR. Didn't buy stuff, only makan.

Mainland chinese are coming back. Lots of filipinos too. Saw a few malay families. Wonder what they gonna eat since difficult to find halal food?

Haha same here

Even Rolex in Malaysia still cheaper than Rolex in HK hahahaha

Also heard more Phils prefer working in HK than Sing and MY even if the gaji is lesser than SG / MY hehehehe

I dam sure they know the halal hidden spots in HK huhuhuhu

One thing i learned and will never forget is that i cannot ever mamak mode in HK unlike Malaysia

Here we still can dine 1 hour but in HK 20 minutes and get the F out fast like quick turnover means money keep on rolling hihihihi🤠🤠😎😎

Just back from HK 2 days ago, this week start temperature drop. Day time with Sun still hot, evening time macam Cameron Highland.

Some experiences to share for 5d4n chill trip since I been to HK 5 years ago..

Day 1: Landed HKIA - Walk around TST new shopping mall - Avenue of Stars & A Symphony of Lights
~get on-loan Octopus card at HKIA MTR to get some small notes change, on-loan charges only $11
~probably you can take their Airport bus if your accommodation is near to the bus station. For eg: I'm staying at Jordan, the bus stop to my accommodation walking distance just 2 min, better than MTR

Day 2: Ngong Ping 360, Big Buddha, Citygate Outlet, Mong Kong street market.

Day 3: Cheung Chau, Central
~If you lazy like me, rent a bicycle for $40 full day, some shop charge $40 for 3 hours, just need to find the right one.
~黎恩記 congee quite nice.

Day 4: Ocean Park
~Short queue on a weekday, Hair Raiser roller coaster is awesome with nice view.

Day 5: Random walk around Kowloon Park, flight back to KL

~Claim your HK night treat $100 cash voucher to spend on meal. https://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/deals/...hts-treats.html
~Enjoy $20 night bus tour https://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/deals/...t-bus-tour.html
~Australia Dairy Company food yoyo... First day visit Scrambled egg was so good, last day visit the egg taste salty, not consistent. Their cold milk tea is nice.
~Kai Kai Dessert traditional mango dessert with pomelo quite nice, cost $39 for a small bowl..
*
Haha nice

I also went all your attraction except

TST
Cheung Chau
Ocean Park
Kai Kai

Since i Johor mali i spent 3.5x more for flight ticket via Changi not KLIA hahahaha😅😅
