sup people, having some trouble in my soon to come trip to Osaka/Kyoto for 8D7N (3D Kyoto, 4D Osaka) in mid Jan
basically first we plan to head to Kyoto from KIX, many trains to use though, which would you suggest in terms of convenience and affordability? Haruka Express is fastest but price also heng. the other choices pretty much require transfers? what would you all recommend? also, speaking of weather there, its predicted to be quite "freezing"? expected 9C to lowest 2C. is snow expected in Osaka/Kyoto at that time? just wanna be prepared on how many winter clothing to bring itinerary wise for Kyoto, headache trying to plan a decent route since im afraid of overkilling me and my friends on rushing to see as much as possible. day 1 pretty much planned something like Eastern Kyoto - arrival at KIX, train to Kyoto should reach est 10am, check in airbnb est 11-12pm - take train to Shijo street shopping lunch yada yada, visit Nishiki Ichiba market too - head down Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park etc - dinner at Pontocho or Gion area day 2 then im stumped on where is better, northern or southern side. northern side would be Arashiyama but pretty far compared to south which will be Fushimi Inari Shrine |

QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Nov 25 2016, 07:25 PM) plan to stay at grand hirafu side, done some research looks like still can ski there , sometimes still got snow oso, finger crossed as Tis Yr winter quite cold ok but april / spring skiing IMO sucks big time. cos you don't get anymore soft fluffy powder: you either get slush (like slurpee) or a hard ice crust. but better than nothing if you really wanna ski i guess. |

Is RM2k return Tokyo considered a cheap price? What is the cheapest one can get from both Airasia (after allowing for luggage) and MAS?

Is rm4000 enough for about 7 days? Accomodation tips? Is airbnb guesthouse advisable? What about the railways, around how long from one station to the other ? Generally if you have any advice for budget self travel, please do let me know!! I'd really appreciate it thanks!! but it was free and lazy trip. wake up late, breakfast then only go out spend average about 4k for food and transport and shopping. hotel and flight is not included railway from osaka station to kyoto about 45 min average depend which type of train you take if you want to save on travel time better to stay at Osaka and Kyoto do not stay on just one place |

For Air Asia, mine is RM820 in 2013 and RM950 in 2016. All inclusive of luggage and food. This year higher maybe because I book separate (KL-Tokyo then Osaka-Kl).For Mas now promo can get Rm1210 return. |

Hi there,
I've booked my flight ticket to osaka next year July and would like to know more about Japan's rules and regulation on operating a drone as I have planned to get a drone to record the scenery. So far I only read about some of it at this site. Thanks in advance ! |

Why only MAS and Air Asia?MAS usual price RM2400 +-, promo price anywhere from RM1200 to RM1700. JAL usually can get RM1200 to RM1500. (Unless peak) ANA usually can get RM1100 to RM1500. (Unless peak) Air Asia the lowest with everything is around RM800-900, if you can get ANA with RM1100, it is anytime better. If you do not mind transit, look out for Thai Airways and Vietnam Airlines, they do promo for RM700-900 all in. This post has been edited by ZeroSP: Nov 28 2016, 01:22 AM |
