That works out to be about S$740 or RM2,200 per day for 2 pax? Compare to going to Europe, which one more expensive to you?Travel Travel To Japan V9.5, Konnichiwaaa

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Oct 21 2016, 09:12 AM) i have been trying to talk her out of seeing the sakura but she insist to be there and I don't want her to go there and there's no flowers and all this rushing will be for nothing. If me, I pay for my gf if she cannot afford full amount. Ke ke... Maybe I am being too generous?I want October because we have more time to save up and we avoid the holidays and crowd and enjoy Japan to the fullest. I'm almost getting into an argument with her as we speak. |

Is RM2k return Tokyo considered a cheap price? What is the cheapest one can get from both Airasia (after allowing for luggage) and MAS?

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Nov 28 2016, 01:20 AM) Why only MAS and Air Asia? OK, thanks for great info. Looking at JAL website, it looks like we can only book Tokyo to KL and then return to Tokyo? How to book KUL - TOkyo - KUL?? MAS usual price RM2400 +-, promo price anywhere from RM1200 to RM1700. JAL usually can get RM1200 to RM1500. (Unless peak) ANA usually can get RM1100 to RM1500. (Unless peak) Air Asia the lowest with everything is around RM800-900, if you can get ANA with RM1100, it is anytime better. If you do not mind transit, look out for Thai Airways and Vietnam Airlines, they do promo for RM700-900 all in. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Nov 28 2016, 12:50 PM) this is to debunk those "radioactive" question Concern is not so much on environmental radioactive readings but contaminated seafood (possible consumption of small amount of radioactive materials and long term consequences). If you can debunk the contaminated food myth, I will be very happy. on average, most japan city has lower radioactive reading than most places in hong kong so if u question is it safe to travel to japan...u should question more should u go HK or not as well ![]() |

QUOTE(Fyonne @ Dec 3 2016, 11:13 AM) the trip that require u to go out more than 4 stations tat u can use in 1 particular train/sub company (Toei or Tokyo Metro) Ok thanks!on 1 of my day, i commute from Nakano-Sakaue (staying there) to Tsukiji, to Ginza to Tokyo Station to Shibuya to Shinjuku (meet up with my brother) then to Nakano-Sakaue. since im using purely Tokyo Metro, n if the price im using more than 600 yen, i will save money by using the 24hr pass. most of the day i use suica due to price commute doesnt exceed more than 600 yen (or the pass price) n require me to change train/sub provider. |

QUOTE(michlove @ Jan 26 2017, 12:19 PM) Hi all, Dun exactly understand the sequence. Some examples will be nice. Which hotel u need to put your luggage first? Hotel in Nikko or Tokyo? And how do you send your luggage there first? I would like to share some tips traveling in Japan especially when you take side trips. Most of you may know about this but some may not if it's your first time to Japan. For my next trip to Japan in Feb, I'll be travelling to Tokyo first then to Nikko and then back to Tokyo. Normally ladies like me will surely have a big luggage ^^ and I do not want to lug this all the way on the train and buses from Tokyo to Nikko and high possibility in deep snow too. What I will always do, prior to my trip to Japan, I will email to my hotel in Tokyo telling them about my travel plans and request to send my luggage to the hotel first. If the hotel is ok to accept my luggage few days earlier before my check-in date, only then I'll proceed to send my luggage when I check-out from the first hotel. All this can be done via the hotel receptionist at a minimal fee. Just make sure you have the correct address and your name is same with your booking name. It will be nice to attached the email as proof too. Besides that, this saves cost too. You can actually opt to store your luggage at the train station but for few days storage it's not cheap. The hotel does not charge anything Hope this helps |

How they send? They will use Takuhaibin, it is a kind of courier service company. |

QUOTE(sacwoc @ Feb 15 2017, 09:53 AM) Cannot say like that lah...there is possible increased risk not certain risk - you don't expect the emperor or the PM to run road because of that right? Similarly for at least 90% of the people in Japan, they aren't going anywhere because of work, family , affordability etc etc. I posted the link to create awareness so that people can make their own decisions. Ultimately, it is their own lives. The risk might be real, might be exaggerated - who knows? |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Feb 15 2017, 10:26 AM) I traveled 4 cities ( and 2 towns ) in 11 days visit, obviously too rush but still ok if you know what you want to visit/experience. I see so many questions of "enough time or not"? Different people have different tastes and styles and preferences such that this question is really pointless. Some might spend 6 days or 9 days on one city or country but another will say "not enough la, that time I spend 2 months and only scratch the surface of the southern part of the city only" - I wonder some time if these people go there to do land survey or what? I wonder if they are also so meticulous at home with their own country or region in terms of traveling. This post has been edited by aspartame: Feb 15 2017, 07:10 PM |
