Hi guys. Planning on traveling to Osaka from 30th Nov till 6 Dec. Travelling with wife, 3 year old son and 3month daughter.My plan is basically to get the Osaka amazing 2 day pass to cover most of the tourist attractions in Osaka. Will go to the aquarium and maybe the legoland and also the Santa Maria cruise for my boy.

Would also like to visit Kyoto and Kobe. Might stay a night in Kyoto itself. Last day of the trip will be spending night near the Kansai airport for rinku outlet shopping.

What do you guys think, upon arrival in Kansai, should I go straight to Kyoto and spend a night there before go to Osaka? Is it cost effective and efficient rather then start my trip from Osaka then to Kyoto and back to Osaka?

One more thing, do 3 year old kid need to pay for the public transport in Japan? Thanks.

Thanks. Kawasaki museum sounds nice. 1 day should be enough to cover Kobe right? Anyway have booked airbnb for 4 days in Osaka. I noticed the accommodation in Kyoto is quite expensive compare to Osaka. Was looking at the traditional Japanese room for stay in Kyoto. Even normal room is expensive. Maybe quite close to my travel date d hence the price.

what would you recommend? was planning a 10 days - 2weeks and cover tokyo, osaka and kyoto

yeah.. along our journey.. sapporo, wakkanai and shiretoko stop snowing already but asahikawa, otaru and sounkyo and along the journey to all places all heavily snow already. we drove at night also but actually a bit dangerous leh.

and its very cold.. shop more at secondhand shop. hahahah

Hello from Tokyo. Just a note. If you're Malaysian traveling alone, you'll be pulled over at Custom for full inspection. I asked why, he said single traveler. Fine. I asked why again, he said only Malaysian. I diam. And walked away. Gosh. Me face problem, or any others also kena like that?

Dear all sifus (especially RC), I'm planning to go Hokkaido on next year early May (rough date should be 4/5 - 13/5), for 2 person (wife). I have done a simple and rough itinerary, hope to get advise from all sifus here.

D1: Fly from KLIA 2 (night)
D2: Arrive CTS (morning), go to Hakodate (overnight)
D3: Hakodate (overnight)
D4: Go to Noboribetsu (overnight)
D5: Go to Lake Toya (overnight)
D6: Go to Otaru (overnight)
D7: Go to Asahikawa (overnight)
D8: Go to Biei, Furano, Sapporo (overnight)
D9: Sapporo (overnight)
D10: Fly back KLIA (morning)

Do you think my itinerary is ok? Is it Sapporo too less day spending? Should I set Sapporo as first few days or last few days? My main travel is onsen, food, and sakura and shibazakura.

Hi Ladies,

Just a question to those ladies who have experienced the onsen in Noboribetsu. I just booked a hotel in Noboribetsu for the CNY eve, and my 2 teen daughters found out from their classmates that all have to be naked (only a piece of hand towel allowed) in the public female onsen.

Both of them are very uncomfortable and shy now .... May I ask, is  that the real situation for all public onsen in Japan?
