Anyone changed from USD to Yen before? The rate seems to be better than changing straight from MYR to Yen. Anyone can confirm?

http://www.kaakix.co.jp/exchange/rate.html

According to the rate

買取レート
外貨→日本円
(Buying Rate) = 102.93
Currently USD = 4.215

So the Yen rate is 102.93/4.215 = 24.42

But changing directly from Yen

Rate now = 41.6
Yen from MYR = 1000/41.6 = 24.04

Asking this because can't get Yen from my local dealer at Melaka for few days, if worse case will change to USD first before going to Osaka next Thursday confused.gif

Came back from Tokyo on Nov 1st. It was a great experience. Especially when we joined the Halloween Street Party in Shibuya for 2 nights and attending Sengoku Otome PS Vita game official launching event.
Now, we have another plan, to Sapporo during winter.

From the route we gonna take, JR Pass is the best option but we still have thousands in our SUICA card. Can we use the card for vending machine or local train/bus or something like that in Hokkaido? In Tokyo it was like widely use. I know KITACA/SAPICA for Hokkaido.

If you are just travelling around Hokkaido, I am not sure if JR Pass is the best option, unless you are travelling from Tokyo to Sapporo.

Tokyo Metro don't have any line to Haneda Airport.
BTW, if traveling only in Tokyo City, Just used Pasmo / Suica enough already.
This 2 card similar to our ''Touch N Go''

At first I thought I wouldnt need the pass. But from Toya to Asahikawa gonnna cost me more than 10k yen one way, so we decided to get the pass. But what I am afraid of is, train cancelled due to heavy snow. I dont know if that will happen. Maybe sifu RegentCid can give an advice on that.

Japan Hokkaido train are build to penetrate snow. 85% Snowstorm won't stop the train service. Only Typhoon will stop the service. Hokkaido train run the slowest speed compare to other state due to Heavy and snow penetrate ability.
Fastest train in Hokkaido just run 120km/h top speed and most of time it just run 90km/h
