Just got call from Digi.

They will dispatch courier service as per preorder address to deliver us new note 7 and handover existing unit upon delivery.

Like the way Digi handle this case as we no need so hassle to go out

Stumble upon someone said FEDEX is not delivering the phones. Imagine if other couriers are not delivering too. Then how the factory delivery the phones to Malaysia? Or I missed out something.

Not sure and their customer service is off for the day. Phone dropped at a very short distance and the screen cracked.

Another proof that Gorilla Glass 5 is definitely bad. Not scratch but break.

Errr... Sorry but this is Sammy's camp... Later kena warning....j/k... My Xiaomis are in order as usual... Less than RM400 phones to service my daily needs is sufficient...

N5 is my current daily driver... Xiaomis are for streaming only...auto-announce time every 15 minutes and other wonderful purposes...

Maybe not that strong but perhaps not that weak also. It also depends in angle of drop and which immediate area of the glass being hit.

For Note7 can't comment, so far didn't drop the phone yet, but from S7E performance (GG4) which in S7E thread people also complaints a lot about the screen is weak or easy to break / crack, so far I have a good experiences.
2 units of S7E in house.
1 used by my dad which protected by dual layer obliq case and armorsuit fell down more than 5 times (perhaps I had lost count) from waist height table (I'm 1.75m tall) on house tile surface. No issue. (the obliq case kinda slippery)

And my own S7E with thin carved case and armorsuit drop few times from myvbed which around my knee height. So far no issue.

Anyway, as normal human beings (me included), we tend to feedback accident stuff/bad stuff when we are having issue and just quiet when nothing happened. Thus that's lead usually we found more damage screen cases on net (people also feedback as reminder or precaution to other users) rather than survived case.

Nevertheless it will be good IF Samsung (at least in Malaysia) can provide free 1x screen replacement for 1 or 2 years for their flagship phone like other manufacturers. It will boost their sales further.
Motherboard kinda failure should be entitle 1-1 replacement in 1st year of use. Customers will appreciate this.

IMHO, Samsung really handles the recall well for simple case. For more complex situation like mine they screw up big time. I actually travel overseas for long term project. Samsung called me for recall and I informed them my situation. They said they could escalate to the Samsung here and I could return here which I'm really impressed. But they wanted me to carry in the full box set. Instantly my mood was down to the drain. Who will travel with box set around the world. At the end still need to fly 8 hrs including transit time back to KL. This is my first Samsung and last I guess.

As for the Sony one, they did specifically said snorkeling and pool, which contains salt and chlorine.

Yeah. that was last year's September article. Did Sony pull back water resistant certification? Correct me if I'm wrong, as far as I concern, the recent announced Xperia XZ still have IP68 cert. What did I miss?
